Doctor Vandenberg is one of the nicest professors you will meet at Siena, does his job extremely well ,very understanding and not a tough grader; if you want to get an A and give it a shot, you will. honestly great guy and excellent professor.

Comment:

Dr. Vandenberg is a great guy and gives a reasonable amount of work. He's very understanding and goes out of his way to help you. The work is tedious though so you can't leave it till the last minute to do homework, especially writing the code for Python it's very time consuming.

Dr. Vandenberg is an overall nice person. That being said, this course involves material from lecture and lab. He does a great job explaining things during lecture, however I felt a bit lost during the lab/programming aspect of the course. If you have never programmed before, consider taking a different professor if you want an easy A.

Great Professor, extremely knowledgeable about the topic. Make sure you attend class because you will be lost otherwise. His door is always open for help. I took him for 110 also and became a computer science major because of him and also chose him as my adviser.

TAKE THIS CLASS! He is one of the nicest professors and is always willing to help. As long as you pay attention in class, its not hard to get an A. He lets you use a full page of notes during the test which is plenty. His tests are really straightforward, just understand the coding and you'll be good to go!

Dr. Vandenburg is really HELPFUL!!! He's always there whenever you need him. The course itself is really hard in the beginning, but by the end it gets easier. The coding part is hard to grasp, but if you pay attention you will do great!

do not take this man for foundations! look around and pick another teacher. he assigns so much work and grades his papers so hard! he acts like he is an english teacher and he teaches computer science! he has a real attitude problem. classes are alright but just alot of work...especially for a foundations class.

I liked this guy. Hewas very friendly, nice and helpful. He taught me a lot. I had kids and sometimes had to bring them to class, and he never griped about it like some of my profs. Once he hung around and waited for me to help me with an assignment. The classes were challenging. I also loved the CS department and lounge.

The guy was kinda cheesy, but i have no complaints at all. Easy A if you want it. There's a decent amount of papers(about 13) but none were too stressful. No final paper or final exam. Decent guy too.

Do not get tricked into taking this course if you are an accounting major. It fulfills your second CS requirement, but is more trouble than it's worth. Take a different CS course instead. Dr. V is okay at best. Fairly difficult class if you don't pay attention. Accounting majors should avoid....
