Forensic Anthro was great! Interesting stuff but if you take it thinking its like the tv show 'bones' it isn't. She explains all material clearly and the training manual will help to understand things further. Beware of her texts/exams as they are very difficult and she often makes mistakes in her own tests she tries to correct during the exam time

Dr. Jerkic was my prof and thesis advisor many years ago. Her knowledge and intelligence are impressive, and I found her to be an excellent instructor. You really need to study if you want to do well, because she expects a lot from you. Her students should consider themselves very lucky. She is world-class.

the workload wasnt as intense as some ppl claim; all you do is show up to class, take some notes on easy-to-understand material,& have 2 tests...but the tests are weird; you come full of knowledge, thinking you know your stuff, but that won't help you...most random tests ive ever seen!-frustrating b/c u dont get to show what you really know

This course sounds interesting, but it's not-she sucks the joy out of it with her random, pointless test qs that don't ask you anything solid/practical-no point in studying; she focuses on things like ethics and ignores all the ages and techniques; everyone should do well w/o much effort(materials easy to understand)but she makes it very difficult

She is my FAVORITE prof, simply the best I have had in the four years that I have been at MUN. She is super hard, and she works you to near insanity but she does it all for a reason and when you leave her class your brain actually has info in it for life. Take one of her classes it will be worthwhile!!!!

I fell asleep in our second class and woke up to a man shaking bird bones in my face. What A Class. She's tough and the tests are hard, but no matter how you do, you leave feeling you've really learned something

The course is interesting and not that hard but she puts random pointless questions on the test. Some definitions aren't really in the book or her notes and makes you wonder where the **** did that come from.

She is incredibly smart and gives interesting, detailed lectures. She likes to throw in obscure test questions, based on tiny facts in some section of the readings (even though the subject might never be mentioned in class). I prefer being tested on things important enough to bring up in lectures.

This is one smart woman! She expects a lot from students, especially since she doesn't really give notes, and her tests are quite tricky. If you put the work in it isn't impossible to do well...

This class was great! I recommend it to anyone wanting to go on with Anthropology. She really knows what she's talking about. She's pleasant and charming, but be prepared for tricky tests. She's a hard marker. Keep up with reading, take lots of good notes. The labs are fun for Anthro nerds too :)

Really interesting woman. I wanted to like this class but it just got so dredged into the details. I'm a science student, if I want biology, I'll do biology. I thought there'd be more attention paid to the human aspect of an interesting field.
