Dr. Wright gave me an excellent experience for my first history class at the university. She was interesting and definitely knew her facts. Class is very heavy on weekly readings, also only had three assignments. However if you don't mind reading and can making a minimal amount of papers count then she is your prof. Highly recommend her!!

The lectures are what you will be tested on, so be sure to attend them. With that in mind, make sure to prepare for the lectures by reading the material before hand! Otherwise you won't get everything, and risk messing up on your papers.

Fabulous class. I love her laid back and knowledgeable style of teaching. Work load was decent but there was plenty of direction and it was easy to access her or the T.A's. Went in her class because I needed the credit, but came out with a fun appreciation for history. Totally recommend!

Unorganized, slow at posting material online. New syllabus posted for each section with due dates. Caused some things to be hard to plan ahead for. She did not talk about the essay until 10 days before it was due. Most history prof's I've had do this 6 weeks prior. Asked her to look at some feedback for essay, email & in person, never heard back.

Prof. Wright was solid. She really knows her stuff and makes lectures interesting. The textbook she was going to use was $200 so she decided to use all free online resources which was super cool. There are a lot of assignments but they do help with the final and overall grade. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best profs I've had. She obviously loves her field and is always willing to help you out. She's very understanding and accommodating when it comes to depression or learning disabilities. Show up, take notes, do the readings, and you'll do fine.

She's very willing to answer any and all questions you might have, quite approachable, and is very considerate of whatever you may have going on outside of class that may affect your performance -- be it stress, depression, a learning disability, or anything. She makes sure to give an outline of expectations for assignments and papers beforehand.

She is a very intelligent professor, knows her topic, and is helpful outside of class. In lectures, she would present the things we were focusing on, and explain the history we were dealing with. Other than that, notes were posted online. Class is mandatory, I would say, because things discussed in seminars are from the lectures.

Arguably the coolest woman I have ever met. I was shocked when I ran into her outside of class and she remebered my name and which class I was in. She is an excellent teacher and a super extraordinary person; loved having her, would take another class from her in a heartbeat.

Dr. Wright loves her subject! You can tell when she lectures, and is extremely knowledgable in her area! Unfortunately she is a bit unorganized and forgetful, and tends to take a very long time to respond to emails. That said don't let it deter you from taking her classes, especially Middle Ages in Film! This was a fun class and learned lots!
