Professor Lay is a great professor, and is a favorite of many on campus. While his tests are very detail heavy, he gives detailed descriptions of everything. If you have a buddy in the class that takes good notes, you are set if you miss a day, but don't miss too many. However, there is a book for the class that we skipped for time.

Dr. Lay takes a day before the tests to go over the test questions and answers with you. If you fail, it's seriously your own fault, but it isn't a form of learning you should get used to AT ALL. This type of learning style isn't beneficial to you as a student, but if you happen to take this class... take my advice and get that easy A!!

Dr. Lay is hands down, one of the best professors at Coker College and one of the best that I have ever taken. He knows his material. I like how he incorporates period literature into his classes rather than just using the standard textbook. He is super nice and funny. He takes a genuine interest in his student's lives. And he's on Facebook!

He is a great professor. He will keep you laughing the entire class period. He grades fairly. He goes over what will be on his test and does not try to trick you. I have him again next semester for western civ. and I'm looking forward to his class. Best professor that I have had at Coker so far.
