Fry is a great professor, he goes off of the textbook so buy it. The class is mainly boring lectures about the law sprinkled with humorous examples of from his past. His lectures come directly from the textbooks and his test questions are from the questions at the end of the chapter. Not very personal, he will most likely not learn your name.

Jim Fry is a great law teacher with tons of obvious experience. The text book was insanely expensive ($600) but he told me they keep a copy in the library. Turns out I didn't even need it, just take good notes and listen and you'll never have to read.

This class is a MUST for anyone willing to take it. The textbook is pricey, but if you pay enough attention and take notes in class you won't need it (I looked at it in the library just once). Fry gives the most enjoyable lectures of any Champlain professor. Very funny, very knowledgable, very experienced. Register ASAP, as the class fills quickly!

Jim is cool. His lectures are basically just story-time. The tests aren't too difficult if you pay attention in class. Gives good examples too. There's no homework other than reading, so that's cool.

Was DREADING taking this class before the first meeting. Fry makes business law interesting enough to be able to sit through a 3 hour class of it without wanting to bust out. He doesn't take attendance but I would highly recommend going. Lectures are interesting and great. Tests are usually about 80% what we cover in class, 20% reading done on own.

Jim was a great professor! Not only funny but uses great stories to really get the concepts home. No projects or papers, just 4 exams (2 objective, 2 essay) and a cumulative final. If you do the reading and listen in class you are sure to pass and learn tons to boot! Highly recommend both Jim Fry and this class!
