I thought the topic was clear but once I received my essay back I would get a bad grade. Very Unpredictable grading. Sheila was not clear and there wasn't much information that I got out of the class. I came to the conclusion she didn't like my style of writing. Mostly everything I learned was what I researched at home.

Dr. Brown is a pretty good instructor. The content of her lectures are good, but sometimes she can be a bit unclear or redundant. Often times I feel that the lectures don't offer a lot of new or helpful information to help me prepare for the homework load. She's a delightful person and more than willing to meet outside of class for instruction.

This is your basic, discussion driven lit class. Participation is key to succeeding, and logging on a few times a week is a must in order to get an A. The assignments are fairly easy as long as you've read the material, which is also pretty easy. There are 2 essays that can be tough if you're not comfortable with college level writing.

I was definitely not excited to take my writing class, but it turned out to be not so terrible. Dr. Brown's class consists of 6 total essay's, 2 of them written in class, with weekly reading questions. Dr. Brown request to meet with her students at least once for a 15 minute conference. She is as helpful as she can be

She is a great writer. I mean, hello, she has a phD. They don't just give those away. She is respectful and will let you know if your aim is good or not. She helped improve my writing skills. She know what she is talking about and she knows good/bad writing when she sees it. She does say, "Moving on" a lot but I found it to be funny.

Make no mistake, Dr. Brown's scatterbrained, but she at least has the courtesy to inform that to her students the first day of class. Despite that, she's full of character; has more patience than MANY other instructors, and if you ask, you'll find her extremely helpful. If you don't ask for help when you need it, it's your loss.

How did this woman get to be a teacher?? I would be a better one - no joke. I think she's got the know how in there, but she does not share it. We never even did writing exercises in class. wow. Not helpful at all. Very easy, just don't expect to get anything from it.

I took her ENG 104 course on-line and she is a complete disaster. She doesn't give papers back when she says she will, she doesn't post info on mid-terms or finals when she says she will, and she is completely disorganized. She was not helpful at all, and to be honest I thought she was a b*tch in her responses. As if you don't know anything and she

I finished this class in summer 2009, and I was so glad when I got out of Dr.Brown's class. Her lecture was begun with her cats stories and nonsense political infor. She spent 15 mins to discuss it plus 15 mins break every classes. Also, she was a hard grader. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS OR YOU WILL BE REGRETTED.

Dr. Brown's self-involved "lecturing" consists mostly of monologues about her personal life and cats. Her grading strategy is capricious, and her political biases are oft-stated. Moving on...

"Moving on... I know everything... But I won't help you.." She will give you a good grade if you annoy her enough. Don't take her if you are a decent writer, she likes to crush creativity and elaborate word use. If you are liberal in your views and produce them in your essays, expect A grades.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! Unless you write according to HER opinions, you will get a low grade. Constantly late, no course structure, and just a complete LOON. There's no telling what grade you'll receive on a paper. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This is by far the worst English teacher I have ever had not flexible with different writing styles. I do not wish this pain on anyone else, too much work for such an entry level course. Grades extremely harsh 2 papers which are 50% of your grade. I have taken high level writing classes with better instructors and creative process. Robot's all same
