I had prof dillon in arthis104 and this was co taught by other teachers spring of last year. Her lectures were always interesting and unique perspective on material. She graded by papers and was honestly pretty generous. Her question did require studying beyond normal not-studying retention but she emphasized the important material

Sheila's the best! She's brilliant, down-to-earth, hilarious (she hits you with the best when you least expect it), and just perfect all around. The class I took with her was about women in the Ancient Athens, but my friends in her other classes have also raved, so just take whatever she's teaching. You'll love the class and you'll love her.

Women in the Classical World- Great class! We ended up focusing only on Greek women because that is the prof's area of expertise. Lots of discussion so coming to class was important. Prof is very helpful and a fair grader. Lots of papers but good choices of topics. Highly recommend this professor; I'll definitely try to take her classes again!

love this prof! she is obviously very interested in the subject matter. Over all, introductory class was pretty easy. Mainly had to be able to identify lots of images and remember all the pertinent information about them. Yes, it takes time but not any more than any other class. Had to write a couple papers but had a choice of topic and timing

She's a decent teacher and much of the material is straight forward, just be wary of assignments which have subjective grading (papers, presentations, etc). Her grading with those are unclear and inconsistent.

Professor Dillon is accessible, enthusiastic, and friendly. This does not make up for chaotic lectures, unclear grading, and busywork. She sometimes makes fun of students in class. Still, if you like her sense of humor, she could be a good teacher.

She basically teaches the book, but the subject is interesting. It is obvious that she has a passion for art, but the combination of a darkened room and her voice is kind of numbing. She definitely does enjoy the nudes/homoerotics of the Greeks
