This guy is a Wild Card. If you do the work and turn it on time you will pass. Nobody is sure how he grades. If you really need the information, take somone else. Show that you care and show up to every class and you will be fine. Oh and by the way, This guy has save this planet numerous times and is not affraid to tell you. It may be true?

Dr. Shah does care for his students, but he is not a good teacher. No one is sure what homework is due and when. He talks extremely quiet, and gets frustrated when you tell him to speak up. He spends 20 minutes per class talking about himself. His assignments have many missing words and typos. Tests are hard. He does nit-pick. Buy his notes.

Dr. Shah really cares and is passionate about what he teaches, he loves his job and sharing a love of chemistry with his students. He cares about everone who walks in his door, and is willing to devote time outside of class to help. Be warned discussions vary and aren't always pertinant to the subject, but he's good at heart.

Attendance is not mandatory. 3 tests, 1 final. First test is basic chem. The other two are things he didn't really go over. You will pass the class with an A if you just go to lab and buy the lecture notes.

Dr. Shah isn't my favorite professor. He would rather talk about his personal life then chemistry. When you ask him a question in class he most likely wont understand you. He does care about his students and when he gives quizzes he'll probably tell you the answer.

This guy is kind of a wild card. I am still not sure how I passed this class. Seem like I never learned anything and still got 80's on all the tests. BTW, No matter what he may say or imply he still uses a standardized o.chem test as his final, so youll have to read the book. I dont think you can make up labs, but there fun anyways.

I am currently taking this class, and this is my opinion of him so far: VERY SMART! kinda arrogant. Half of his lectures are of him speaking of how his teaching methods are better than anyone else's "You won't find THIS in any textbook!" etc. Chemistry is hard for me in the first place, but I feel that there are better professors out there. =)

Dr. Shah Is a good guy but he can't teach AT ALL! He doesn't use power points or notes and expects you to understand what he is mumbling about in class. Labs are a joke so is homework but do both. His exams area easy but READ THE BOOK!

I had him for Chem. 105 & 106. He's a great professor. If you don't understand, I would recommend reading the textbook. He tries to be very understanding and is very interested in seeing his students succeed. He doesn't really check labs or homework, so do them. It will help boost your grade.

I've had Shah for Chem 105 and Chem 106. The tests are very difficult if you do not study, but the labs are a piece of cake. You have to read your textbook alot because info on the test isn't mentioned in lecture notes. He usually curves grades or allows notecards during the tests. Hes extremely nice and willing to help-I would definitely take him.

I love Dr.Shah but god he can not teach. I ended up with a b+ but pretty much had to teach the class to myself. Labs and homework are a joke and a great grade booster. Never takes attendance. Pretty easy grader. He is extremely nice and i am taking him for chem 106

Sweet man but he is somewhat hard to understand and if you are confused he gets mad. Don't think he wont yell at you infront of the class he will! lab reports help grade a lot. i didn't do hardly anything for the class and got a B. He picks favorites but I still got an acceptable grade for a CHEM class and I was not a favorite.

A really nice teacher. Labs are fairly easy and never last longer than an hour and a half. Lab reports and test reveiws help grades because i am almost positive he doesn't even read them, he just gives you credit for turning them in. Tests are somewhat hard. But if you do the reveiw before hand it should help you alot..

Nice guy. His grading process scares me though. It seems like he never reads the weekly lab reports or gives the correct grades on tests. As long as you talk to him and stay on his good side you'll be fine. Don't expect to learn anything.

Dr. Shah is a nice man, but is a very poor teacher. He is VERY smart, but you will learn nothing. Lectures are pointless and labs are a joke (out in an hour) Gives you useless homework problems and a total of 4 exams. Exams aren't that bad, but everything is self taught. If you want to learn chemistry, dont take this class.
