I took her online EXPRESS course. The course was awesome. However, expect a research paper every week for the entire 8 weeks. If you don't have the time time because of other obligations, take the reg semester course. Note* She doesn't answer email questions very well. Must be good at prob. solving. I made an A, you can too,if you have time!

There is NOT a mean or rude bone in this teacher's body! She is a gem!!! I took her online 1301 and now her Am. Lit. class. There are 3 exams, 5 quizzes (open book) , 4 short response papers, one PowerPoint presentation and a paper researching a poem. Homework is optional, but helpful for tests and quizzes. 20 bonus points for perfect attendance.

Great teacher! Gives great feedback, great communication. Great for people who can follow detailed directions. Gives extra credit and revision points on some essays. Would take her class again in a heartbeat!

She was not helpful with assignments given. Lessons were confusing. She gives a grammar quiz every week. She also makes you write a paper every week. When asking her a question, she responds in a rude manner and is not helpful. She doesn't respond to her emails within 48 hours, it is more like a week and by that time it is too late.

Took online class. The weekly assignments are well organized and very easy to follow. The only thing I disapprove of is her grading scale. She is extremely harsh. ALWAYS triple check your essays before turning them in. Essays must be well written. Two mistakes or run on sentences and you are instantly deducted a letter grade. No negotiations!

I don't know what's up with the reviews below, but this was the first time I took an online class so I was pretty nervous. I thought Professor McBride outlined her expectations and each weeks assignments pretty clear, I ended up getting a good grade and if she taught 1302, I would definitely take her again.

Worst attitude on the planet. Literally. The worst professor I have EVER had. She doesn't use email AT ALL. She doesn't use Blackboard at all. If you don't go to class she deducts TWENTY points from your grade. I absolutely couldn't stand her. Her tests are completely different from what she says. I never take or talk to her ever again!

She has the worst attitude of any professor I have EVER had. She is easy and tells you what she expects on most things, but will fail you in a heartbeat on her papers for writing anything incorrect. Like I included biographical info on a paper when I wasn't supposed to, but everything else was correct and she gave me a failing grade.

Super professor. You must buy the book and go to class. (The book will probably be a nice reference for the rest of your college days.) She grades assignments in a timely fashion, with valuable comments also. I learned a lot from McBride and would take her for 1302.

Great Professor. Took her online express class. Gives good feedback and it quick to respond to emails. It was a lot of work but I made an A and I earned it. Definitely recommend her. The class breezes by and before you know it the 8 weeks are up.

THE WORST PROF AT COLLIN. Also, if you have a doctors note and need to make up ANYTHING including MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS, too bad! The reading may seem challenging at first, but its vital to getting an easy A. You will have to read often, but it is never insurmountable portions of text. Dr. McBride is a great professor and puts a lot of energy into being organized and clear for her classes. You will find some pieces of literature that you really like in this class. Guaranteed.

Do not be mistaken, this is not a easy breezy class. However, if you work hard and ensure that you have completed all your work on time and do what she asks of you, then you will do well. I took the express web course and found it pretty easy to follow. There are weekly writing assignments and weekly grammar quizzes but nothing difficult. She doesn't grade very hard, but definitely turn in papers without typos and you should do fine. She's very nice and helpful as well. I really enjoyed the course.
