I've never had a professor who gives tests that are only fill in the blank, short answer, and essay. For my Italian history class I was expecting to learn a few things, not the entire history of Italy. Hardest tests I've taken in my life, only cuz at the time I wasn't much into history.

I like her as a person, ONLY! She is really hard to understand. I love Italian & my Italian 1 teacher was AMAZING! Took Itln 2 in order to go to 3 with the same teacher I took 1 but this teacher is hard and mean :/ please, I worn you... DON'T TAKE HER!!!You will fail OR get a HORRIBLE grade. Half of my class drop! & lots of people there will FAIL!!

This class is really interesting if you like to learn about the different movements such as the middle ages, renaissance, baroque, macchiaioli, futurist etc. Her class has a lot of homework and reading. If you do the homework, read, and participate, then you're fine. She reviews in class for the tests so you know what's going to be on it.

Her class seems more work than necessary at first. It isn't really much though, she has interactive lectures and her homework is assigned from the nightly readings. Can be confusing, she has favorites and can seem quite rude. Just an okay teacher overall, won't make you be interested in the class if you weren't to begin with.

Professor May is awesome. For both Italian 1 and Italian civilization (10) you should be ready to put on time and effort. Like any good professor she challenges you and you must do your homework. She appreciates hard workers. Very patient and insightful. Quick reply to emails and if you are struggling she is in her office a lot.

This class requires a lot of studying and memorization. If you study hard, it wont be as difficult. Basically all you need to do is memorize a tons of vocabulary words and know how to use each word. The workbook pages really help. Its always a good idea to study whatever it is you have to study and then do the workbook pages.. :)

Seriously, this lady is one of the worst professors I have ever come across! She is unapproachable, which sucks because its a language, and the more help the better. She picks on you if you dont know her answers, embarrasment is one of her methods of teaching. If you have trouble picking up languages immediately don't take her. She is horrible!

I've had Prof. May for two courses and I really liked her. She expects a lot from her students, however what good professor doesn't? Class participation helps a lot. If you are struggling, talk to her! She is very approachable. Also very classy!
