she's a nice lady if you talk to her at her office but can come off as kind of cold at first. The actual class is boring but the content taught isn't tough. I would prefer a textbook or some other supplement to the slides because I felt like I was missing some theory.

An exceptional professor. No textbook but very detailed class slides and explanations. Exams are fair (fair doesn't mean easy) but if you study you should have no problem doing well. Very clear explanations. A bit dry at times but a nice lady who wants students to succeed. Happy I had her.

Excellent prof. I would take any course she taught. Clear, helpful, really knows her stuff. Exams very straightforward. Gives bonus marks for class participation. Yes, you have to do the homework. Thats why it's called homework. LOVE HER!!!

Great prof. Is very up front about what's required to do well in her class. She is always available for help. Polite, gives everyone a fair chance. Couldn't ask for a better prof. Wish she taught more courses. Would take any course she taught. Awesome prof. Really.

Good Prof. Very clear. Had her for Acc 1100. Large portion of class failed (I got an A), but that's because the course load is so heavy. You have to do readings to keep up as there is so much to go over. I highly recommend this prof.

This class requires you to keep up but has little to do with the proff. Carney is Extremly good at articulating course concepts and linking the units together. If you read the textbook BEFORE each class, study the in class notes you will do well. If you can learn some accounting jargon before the class starts you'll be glad.

honestly, not as bad as people say. If you notice, most if not all of the negative comments are from acc 1100, the first accounting course students can take..most people do terrible b/c they're not prepared for the extremely heavy workload. Carney warns students about this, and some think she is trying to scare people. Its for your own good.

I enjoyed this course. Got 72 on the midterm. Tough professor though. You need to work hard to get a good grade. I had too many math courses this semester, so it was hard in general. I spent a lot of time studying. Isn't this what a good university is all about? Anyway, Sonja was very nice, professional and helpful during her office hours.

Worst Prof I have had in 3 years of University. Take with anyone else, and if possible take in the summer or fall term. Midterm killed everyone. Usually 50% or less average, and these are not stupid lazy people taking the course. I went to her office once to ask a question and I have never been treated more rudely by an adult in my entire life.

Terrible prof. Never cracks a smile, speaks in a monotone voice..impossible pay attention through her lectures. The classes dont teach you basic accounting, rather abstract circumstances. The textbook was a lifesaver. Even the other teachers at asper know her reputation as being a grouch. All in all, has no qualities of a good teacher.

She belongs in an accounting firm, not the classroom. Ive never had a more rude professor in my entire university career, and i still managed to a dece grade. She enjoys giving a confidence boost at the beginning of class reminding how 2/3s will fail, not to mention she is **** tracy when it comes to finding cheaters. Take it with Falk
