Dr. Smith clearly cares about his pedagogy and I wish other professors in the CAS department would learn a lesson from him. I think 2ME3 could be updated for the times but the course is just delivered so well and is so organized.

One of the best professors within the Software Engineering program because of his passion for the field. He isn't too tied down to old software engineering ideologies and tries his best to make the content more exciting. If we had more professors like this Software eng here might've been a decent program. Also, Parnas, Parnas, Parnas.

Your knowledge of coding is useless in this class.Test questions have little to do with tutorials.The prof is not bad and willing to help, but sometimes unreliable and won't post necessary things until asked to.The lectures and tutorials are useless.The whole course is just book reading.Hard to believe that such inconsistent course worth 4 units.

He's a very passionate prof, going the extra mile in his lectures. However, IMO he lacks the ability to keep his audience interested. Most people fell asleep. Despite this I loved this class. Labs and tutorials were my favorite. The tests however were nowhere as good as I'd hoped. Some very random questions. Textbook=very IMP

Dr. Smith is a very easy going guy, and tries really hard to make everything as clear as possible. He's open to suggestion on his teaching style (practical -> theoretical examples, etc) and really takes everything step by step to make sure you get it. Does a very good job considering the material.

Excellent prof... teaches you everything needed for assignments and exams. Very organized and great style of teaching. I like the whole... question was... thing. Clear. There is no reason you shouldn't get a 10+ in this course if you attend his lectur
