His class overall was good, although the lectures are very long. If you aren't into film or study film I would not suggest taking this class. He knew his material, it was just presented poorly in an uninteresting way.

He makes jokes, which is nice, but he focuses on things that are pretty straight forward for too long. I feel like his classes have such interesting content, but aren't executed to their best potential.

Goes off topic constantly. Says controversial things that are straddling the line. Can be extremely unprofessional when it comes to phones and what the students are doing. He talks more about other things than what he is teaching itself. Every person I know takes the class just for the credit rather than the learning what is taught. Not recommended

Great class. Very easy as well. His open book exams rock, and he is quite an easy marker on essays. Found him to be interesting and at time quite humorous.

Stan is obnoxious and thinks his jokes are hilarious, though they are often insulting. He likes to talk a lot about his books and how he doesn't get paid enough royalties, and general crap about how awesome he is. While he doesn't suck as much as his wife does, and is incredibly unhelpful, he's an easy marker and speaks clearly. Easy class.

Stan's a great instructor who uses humour well in his lectures, and does not place undue pressure upon his students. Anyone who doesn't get anything from his classes isn't putting anything in.
