There's no homework, but there are assignments in class randomly so she makes sure you don't skip. Her lectures are great and she relates a lot of things to her personal life. She's quite funny and she cares about your concerns. Easy A, just make sure you take the notes. She gives a study guide out before the exam and goes over it. Would recommend!

Good class with interesting information. She includes personal stories to help make information relevant. The tests count very heavily on your grade. Make sure to do all the ungraded reviews as they are very helpful.

I took her life span development class online. Everything is pretty straight forward, do the work, get the points. She has so much passion for what she teaches, I loved it. She even teared up in one of the online lectures. More professors need to be like her. I wish she taught more than two classes at WCC.

I would've given her a great report, as I had between a high A and high B all semester. Last time I looked the points in the grade book were out of 800, then when the final grades were submitted she had the entire class out of 60 points! Which took my grade from a low A to an F!? Definitely would not take a class with her again, it was a huge waste

I enjoyed taking this class online with Starr. She doesn't give a heavy workload and is a very reasonable grader. The assignments are interesting along with her lectures and applying her own life examples. I learned a lot in this class and highly recommend it.

This class was an easy A and I actually feel like I learned the material. As long as you do all of the assignments, you will get an A. The tests were sometimes a little tricky but since it was an online class we are able to use our notes and book, although timed, so you should still know most of the material.

Great teacher! I hesitated to take another psych course after getting a boring teacher for 101, but Starr was so interesting! She talks a lot about her personal life, but only to tie it into what we are talking about that day in class. She is nice, cares about her students,& has extremely easy tests. Don't buy the book.

Took class on line. Nice teacher but each test review(they don't count)is 240 questions! Tests were mixture of lecture and book info. WAY too much info not knowing what tests will be on. Need to know lots of stats & researchers in the book(not knowing what test will be on)! Tough class bc of this. Sounds like taking @ school would be easier.

I LOVE Starr! She's great! She really really knows her stuff! The assignments are easy, all her lectures were done on the board, and her tests were simple as long as you attended class to take notes. She is a wonderful teacher who truly cares about her students. She enjoys teaching and it shows. Her class is easy, but the topics itself aren't rocket science. I've taken two classes with her and they were just awesome. She's worked in mental health and truly cares about her field. She wants people to be compassionate and care. Recommended highly

Still writes notes on board instead of using PPoint; we waste time copying what she writes word for word instead of having real discussion or moving at a faster pace to include more detail. She loses her place all the time. Dont buy the book, she doesn't use it. I feel ILL prepared for next level classes because this was just a memory game.
