This class pretty much killed me. I went to the math center at least once a week for hours at a time. The textbook is mandatory, and I feel like I've learned absolutely nothing. Definitely do not take this online class.

Waner is the man! I was nervous about calc but it turned out to be my favorite course this semester. He's retiring soon so if you get a chance, take him before he leaves. I have never learned more in any other class I've taken

Great teacher and has a funny deadpan sense of humor. He co-wrote the textbook AND the online website. All homework is optional, lowest quiz grade dropped, and the final is optional if you're not satisfied with your grade (and the syllabus is structured so you get the best possible grade). I liked him better than my two major's professors.

Professor Waner is definitely one of the best QM professors at Hofstra. He writes his own study guide, which explains everything (definetly print it out at the beginning of the semester). Easy grader on excel assignments and tests(which can get a little difficult). Offers optional final (only if you want to bump your grade). Great Personality too

Prof. Waner knows his stuff...he moves faster than most teachers but you should be able to keep up. We finished the syllabus early and he went into more advanced topics (good headstart if your continuing calc). If you enjoy math you will enjoy waner....ask about his car!! only takes attendence when a lot of ppl skip
