Best professor Ive ever had in math. Easy tests, even the homework questions are harder. Offers many chances for extra credits.

I dropped his class mid way through the semester because I did not understand anything, and Steve's lectures are way too fast, and writing is illegible. I would not recommend anyone to take this class. By they way, I had taken this course previously at Cuyamaca, and I felt better prepared when I first took it over there.

Overall Steve is as fair as can be. He is straight to the point and wont give you any curve balls. My best recommendation is to do the homework over and over. Great teacher and would totally take again.

TAKE DAVIS FOR CALC3 IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. He's about as easy as it'll get for that class; all the quizzes are guaranteed taken from the notes, which he allows you to use during quizzes. Also the exams are word for word hw questions and the final is non-cumulative.

I hated math because I thought I was bad at it until I took Steves class. Lots of homework but necessary for practice. If you put forth the effort hell go the extra mile to help you. Take Steves class and youll get more for your money at Grossmont College.

Davis cares about math and the success of his students - that much is obvious - but he's not the most approachable during lecture. He often misses student's questions because he's looking at the board. He writes very quickly and often illegibly. There is a ton of homework, but I learn more from it than I do the lectures. Quizzes right out of notes.

Mr. Davis is someone I would prefer to have as a teacher again. He clearly likes his job which is a big deal. He is also clearly rooting for every student, as long as they take the class seriously. Sometimes homework can be a bit heavy but I don't know how much of that is his doing, or if the school requires a certain criteria.

Hands down the best math instructor I have ever had. I had a math phobia until I took Mr. Davis' math class, now I actually like math. He is a fair professor who takes his time to teach his students. He also takes the time to learn his students names. Showing up to class is a must if you want to pass. Do the work he says to and you'll do great.

This class was very hard! A lot of homework and he doesn't do a very good job at teaching the material. Tests are hard too. Can get help at math study center or at his office hours. Don't fall behind on homework you will hate your self!!!

Lectures are difficult to sit through at best, and often don't prepare you for the exams. Exams have tricky questions that don't reflect your knowledge of the chapter, just your memory of random math up to that point. The worst part about this class is the projects, very informative, but the professor gave them out AFTER the exams for each section.

not my cup of tea. Mr. Davis is interesting, and not in a good way. he is a math teacher yet he talks about history and life and goes on a tangent. he didn't show any interest in any of his students and most of them used to complain about him before the start of the lecture. Mr. Davis introduces one example and expects you to "get it." don't take.

Steve is a really interesting guy, but he tends to go on tangents and waste class time. Luckily I was able to pick up the material fairly easily. He's really cool, but he's a bit unorganized and the students pay for that. This class is for people that are okay teaching themselves or learning outside of class. If you aren't good in math, stay away.

THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD. arrogant, unreachable, unclear, tests are nothing like the homework, and the practice exams. Unorganized, the class's duration is 75 mins; yet, he consists on waisting 30-45 mins on doing previous hw problems to "F" students. DO NOT TAKE if you care about your grade. worst mistake of my life. (UNCLEAR) to what he wants.

Professor Davis is a very nice guy and very approachable. But as a teacher he often moves very fast which is expected as Math 176 is a very fast paced class. My best advice is to stay on top of the homework(there is a lot) and if you are working while taking this class make sure it is your only hard class as it is very time-consuming.

Professor Davis is actually pretty nice, contrary to what most people here might have you believe. He is extremely accessible outside of class, and is helpful. However, he is too fast, an extremely tough grader, his tests are nothing like the homework, and almost all questions are related to graphing calculator use, which is irritating. Don't take.

First Off: Calc2 is hard, be prepared. Honestly if you didn't pass Calc1 with an A or B don't bother with Calc2. -VERY easy to get help -Lectures are clear -Not the best at time management -Unless your really smart, you have to do ALL the homework to pass -Overall: Great attitude towards his class and students, but you have to put in the work

Great on feedback tells you what you did wrong so you do better next time around. Group work is done and participation is vital, each group is assigned a homework problem and one person from each group presents their problem. Overall class is difficult but in a good way, if you do your part, homework, you can get a great grade.

His class was the first math class I have EVER PASSED with an A!!!! I had him for math 120. His class is designed so that you learn from each other and I found that I was able to actually understand math with this method. Yes you need to put in WORK, as with anything! I definitely recommend him
