Hate this class. If you are not very familiar with religion, its very hard. He loads on assignments and quizzes every week and its hard to keep up. He's not helpful at all.. I sent him many emails and he never gets back to me. I went to him finally and asked about it and he said he trashed my emails thinking it was spam. Dont take this class

He's got the right idea, helpful,but WAY too much work! Essay papers, term paper, copious tests & quizzes, postings all the time! This guy has NO IDEA what kind of work load he's putting on. To make matters worse, he doesn't ever grade anything on time. you may wait as long as a month to get something back, and by that time it doesn't help you

Prof. Martin is actually a really great professor. Sure yes he does cancel classes a lot but he does it for a reason not because hes frivolous. His class is really easy in my opinion and anything you don't understand he explains for you. I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about but I loved his class! Hes also super nice which is a plus.

TOOK THE ONLINE CLASS. Its a lot of work. This was his first online class and the one thing you need to beware of is the due dates. He started off very quality over quantity and by the end it felt as if he wanted Quantity over Quality. Make sure to print out a list of due dates and READ HIS E-MAILS!

Most boring class ever. Lots of stupid tedious work that has nothing to do with the class. Pretty hard to fail, though, and if you do all the work you'll get a good grade. Midterm and final are take home.

Do not walk RUN from this class. This is an insult to intelligent people. The professor is nice and he tries but class is cancelled OFTEN & he then tries to make up & loads so much work on you that you don't know whether you're coming or going. Just take someone else.

Ughhhh I loathed this class. Prof. Martin's comments and mannerisms are enough to keep you amused through class, so maybe that makes it somewhat worth it. Or not. He canceled class about 8 times, and yet still graded hard. He's easy to pull stuff over on, and you can always hand things in late .. you'll be getting everything back late anyway.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! He cancelled class NINE times within the first 2 months of the semester. He never grades anything and the material in this class is so vague, at least the way he teaches it. He's a nice guy but a lousy teacher; he understands the stuff, but he can't find a way to help students understand it.

Though he is sometimes hard to understand, he is really passionate about what he teaches and seems to know a lot about it. And I heard from a friend that he's willing to help you understand the material better so that you can succeed in the class. I don't know what these other people are talking about. Prof. Martin is a pretty cool guy.

This Professor is so nice.Canceled class this semester a couple of times,but it was due to his daughter illness.Work is not that tough,theres a good amount.He tries to make everything interesting,just do your work and you'll get a B.I took this course 2times and Martin was the 2nd teacher.Trust me this teacher is easier and nicer than the others.

The worst decision of my college experience has been taking this class! He gives too much work for an elective and takes forever to grade it. He constantly cancels class. He makes the material so much more confusing than it has to be. Incredibly boring...run, don't walk away from this class!

he is a very nice guy. will help u with any problems u have. there are weekly assighnments. blackboard is heavily used. assighnments are pretty clear allthough sometimes the material itself can be fussy in nature. overall a good course; be prepared for a bit of writing and critical thinking and a B or better is a definite.

It is hard to tell from ratings this was my class. He did cancel some classes due to his daughter's disease, etc. but gave homework to make up. Many easy assignments that didn't count much tho. Hard exams - had to give us an extra day to review for midterm. Many people did give him a hard time in class. Papers were interesting - on movies and art.

This professor was always sick or had something to that always happened to him to cancel class. His assigments were unclear, and he changed syllabus so many times that you don't even what is due on what days. Don't take him if you don't want to be confused, bored, and fustrated.

He's a pretty decent guy, he's sick way too often. His class was pretty simple and his requirements were straight forward. He doesn't bother to take attendance, so skipping his class is no big deal. Only 2 papers for mid & final with smaller papers from assigned readings. no big deal, take his class
