Comment:

Just the way he presents himself and the course material, it feels like he wants you to do poorly. He's kind of a dink when he talks to students. A lot of under the radar "oh, unless you wanna retake the course" snarky remarks. He's very boring and uninspiring. Seems full of himself. Typical law professor. Wants you to do poorly.

Comment:

McKelvey fails to inspire, he just seems like he's there to do a job. His "judge wiser" system is the WORST way to force class participation as I've ever seen. TAs admit he tries to trick you on exams. Most of what I really learned was in discussion classes, when TAs weren't rambling about their personal lives. Wish Masteralexis taught it.

Comment:

It has been a difficult, yet rewarding class experience overall. Besides having TA's who do not know how to respond to emails for whatever reason, McKelvey's classes are generally interesting. Tests are difficult but doable.12 Discussion papers, 2 get dropped. Content was interesting overall. Definitely recommend for a good challenge.

Definitely a tough class, but a requirement for Sport, which means it should be interesting for everyone taking it. I found it very interesting and professor McKelevey does a good job explaining material. Exams are tough, but you can make up points on discussion papers. Make sure you read because he will call at random on people in class.
