i went into the class with no anthro background and did quite well. although he might derail at times, he is an engaging lecturer, a very humble and modest professor. he is very passionate about the suject as well and willing to help. also! resembles a young robert redford.

His disorganized lectures made preparation for tests quite difficult. I learned the content primarily from the textbook although I had attended virtually every lecture.

Great course, Prof. Monckton is a lot of fun in lectures: lots of jokes and complete sidetracks, but that's part of his charm! Very passionate about Anthropology, and wants his students to do well: get ahold of his previous exams: they're almost identical

Very nice and helpful but difficult to follow. Tends to go on tangents so it is difficult to take notes or to tell whether or not he is talking about something important or not.

Unprepared, disorganized, does not prepare students well for exams because he's all over the place while teaching. Nice guy but would never want to take another course with him.
