Taking Alma' Chicano/a Power Theater class was intense. NEVER SHOW UP LATE, even if you have discussed it with her prior to. She shows all of the films she's been in and makes you read all the plays she's started in. Cal Poly Pomona, you can have her!

She doesn't know how to teach. She may brag about her experience as an actress back in the day, but she is too spacey to teach anything to beginners. She loves the students with lots of experience (because she thinks she got through to them), and she also loves suck-ups. (That's how I got my A)

There's a saying that those who can't do teach. Well this person CAN do but CAN't teach. This class would be great for someone who already has experience, but not good for a beginner. She's spacey, difficult to understand, and frustrating. Nice person but not a good teacher at all.

i really liked her. Her teaching methods were admitedly unusual, but I feel I got a lot out of her class. She was very passionate and caring. Even if her methods didn't work for everyone, and sometimes were off, I still felt her assignments were well chosen, and lectures were interesting and fun.

Teaches a nontraditional, physically intensive acting approach. Very strong personality; scatterbrained but very friendly and helpful. Most people either love her or hate her. Strongly recommended for those who do not have an affinity for Stanislavski.
