Stephen is hilarious. You have to have an open mind in regards to different opinions to appreciate his personality. He follows the book to a tee. Tests are all multiple choice and super fair. Would recommend!

Stephen is a great man himself, you can tell he is super passionate about his work. Lectures are fun, and go by fast because he is a goof and tells lots of stories that correlate, however you do not need to go to the lectures to pass, memorise everything from the textbook, EVERYTHING, and you will get a decent mark. Hes a tough grader for papers.

He is a good professor. Sometimes the test content surprised me because it was not what I studied.

Avoid Dr. Perrott if you can. I literally learned just as much from reading the textbook for 1 hour than going to class for the week. He wastes so much class time rambling on about irrelevant things, and tells many stories about his personal life. All his tests come straight from the textbook, as do his powerpoints, which make little sense.

I haven't gone to a single class, from comments from peers I'm doing just as well, if not better than most the class. Stay home, read the textbook. Like the entire book! Powerpoint slides won't be helpful, they come from the textbook, as do his tests/exam questions- which are all mulpt choice. His one assignment was fairly easy, only 3 pages.

Dr. Perrott is a really nice man however teaching isn't for him. He mainly reads from his slides (slides made by the book publisher) and tells stories. If he doesn't get time to cover it in class then he tells you to go home and learn it. He also uses test banks for exams and his exam questions don't always match up with the slides.

Comment:
Professor Perrott presents much of the syllabus in an anecdotal manner. While powerpoint slides and assignments are used to disseminate class information; expect to hear many personal stories and memories to accompany his lectures. Some people do not enjoy this type of teaching method, but I find it makes it easier to remember class information.

Super nice guy but sometimes I felt that he just wanted a captive audience to listen to his stories. Interesting stories however many were not relevant . Very disorganised. Short tests. Student oral presentations are awful and everyone gets a high grade. I think he tries hard.

First off he is a very nice man, you can tell he cares about his students and is always there to help. His lectures can be somewhat confusing. He rambles a lot and gets off topic. Both of the midterms & exam are multiple choice. Hard questions he doesnt make them himself, found some were very confusing.. Easy marker on assignments.

Comment:
Perrot does not make any of his own material (i.e., lectures, midterms, and final), but rather gets the publisher of the textbook to do it for him. This results in the tests being completely obscure and impossible o pass unless you have read and memorized every piece of information in the book, which is large. Would never take one him again.

Dr. Perrott grades accordingly to the level course you are in. He is a tough marker but if you ask for help, he's 100% there to help, & will do everything in his power to help you understand the material. If you are going to slack off and expect to pass with a decent grade, don't take his classes but if you enjoy learning and work hard, he's great.

Steve is fantastic. His lectures really help me remember how much I love psychology. He loves his anecdotes and spends the whole class telling stories, making it a welcome break for typical lectures. However, I think the best part about him, is that you can tell how passionate he is about psychology. That makes such a huge difference.

I didn't enjoy this class because of his teaching style, he words his question very weird on exams and confuses you easily. He rambles in lectures and goes way off topic. Would not take a class from this professor again

He is really understanding, and he likes class discussions, even though they don't usually happen in my class. He puts everything online which is very helpful. I heard that you either like him or don't like him. I think he's a great proff. I will definitely take more of his classes.

I found he was all over the place with this class. He even confused himself sometimes. He talked a lot about his research which was cool at first, but then was irrelevant. I found his assignments pretty tricky. But I loved that he would mark the tests right in front of you so you would see your mark before you left the room! Not an easy class.

Clear prof, easy marker. Tests are short, clear, and to the point. No trick questions. Gives only one assignment, so work load is nonexistent. Very dedicated to helping students succeed. Really goes out of his way to help struggling students. Loves to talk about his life a lot but I found it helped me apply those examples to the material.

Very easy prof who was very easy to contact. Tests were short and to the point. Liked to take most material from the text but also applied other experience to subject matter which lead to interesting class. Loves talking about being a former police officer a lot...

I think people are forgetting that being a Prof is not a walk in the park. I can't imagine having that much work expected from me. Those people with negative comments should take his place for a day and maybe that would knock some sense into them. Dr. Perrott is a wonderful person and GREAT Prof. He truly cares about his students.
