Coach Shaw is one of the most caring and compassionate professors I have ever met. It was an honor to be in his class. I took Spanish in High School and I had an amazing teacher. However, she did not emphasize speaking or interpreting Spanish. Coach Shaw covered every aspect of the language. CNU is lucky to have him!

Professor Shaw is a great Spanish teacher. I had him for my Spanish 101 class and loved him so much I requested to have him again for 102. He is a very approachable person and cares about his students. He will help his students succeed in any way that he can. I wish he taught upper level spanish so I could have him again.

Shaw is an excellent Spanish teacher. He is available for assistance whenever one needs him and truly goes out of his way to help his students. He is funny, humorous and able to engage you in a conversation as a pleasant experience. Learning a language was something I dreaded and with Coach Shaw's assistance, I have been able to succeed.

Shaw is a really cool guy. He has traveled the world including his time spent in Spanish speaking countries. He really gets to know his students and interact to create conversation relevant to learning the language. You do need to study in order to pass. Take good notes in class and if you have any questions go office hours for individual help

He really does expect you to be "experts" on material he rushes through in one day. Office hours are not really helpful and his notes are VERY sloppy. I'm still in his class and I'm doing alright due to the partial credit he gives. for a 101 class I expected it to be easy but I was wrong.

Professor shaw makes class a lot of fun and relatively easy, but he does add words to quizes that are not in the book, but he went over in class so you need to go to class. But overall he made spanish relatively fun for an 8am class.

Dr. Shaw is the best spanish prof. I've had him for two semesters and he's crystal clear. He is interested in the students and tries to make the class fun and entertaining at all times. Definantly take him if you can.

Excellent teacher. Come to class and take notes. He's a really fun teacher and head soccer coach, so sometimes he gives extra credit for going to some games. I feel like I really understand what he taught. I highly recommend him.

If your and athlete take his class, he is very generous with absences. He is the soccer coach so he may be absent too. Great teacher, I really enjoyed the class last semester, highly recommend!
