Comment:
Dr. Turner is one of the best professors I've had in college so far. When the entire class was struggling with a program assignment, he extended the due date to the end of the semester. Also, he knows his stuff inside and out. The only negative thing is he doesn't show very many practical examples. Also, lectures can be a bit boring.

He was accessible outside of class on campus and by e-mail. His lectures aren't boring and he's funny. He's also willing to extend deadlines and sometimes offers extra credit.

Prof. Turner knows his stuff. He is extremely helpful and accomidating. I've had many classes with him, and if you've had one, you know the drill. He's grades fairly, but i wouldn't say things are easy exactly. Turner is how a professor should be. Highly recommended.

Dr. Turner is probably your best bet for 375. Unless you feel like "Abe's Revenge" I'd suggest you go this route. He knows the material and if you go to him for help your going to come away learning something. Also if you can compete with Turner in Burnout's Revenge you'll be cleared to move forward. Programs are tough, tests are so-so. Good luck!

High workload, but now that I'm in the real world, I use a lot of what I learned from him. His classes are what a U-M education should be about. He's also EXTREMELY helpful in CSC dept problems. He's also helped me via email with actual work issues involving CSC. Great guy.

Pretty good teacher for this course. Definetly know's his stuff as a CSC/CIS professor. Not to hard of a class and we were able to get some hands on experience networking. Overall good and I'd reccommend for any upper level CSC/CIS course.

Well, he's smart for a guy who got his PhD from Michigan State. Um, Why did he get a job at U-M instead of State, oh yeah because MSU blows.

Very smart guy, dry humor is funny and he hates microsoft too. Lots of work and challenging assignments/tests but you get what you pay for.

He's a great teacher. Even know the class might be hard. But you get more out of it. The only problems is he doesn't give too much information on the projects. He expect you to do some research or already know some of it to do the projects.

By far the best teacher in CSC. He's the only one who knows what he's talking about. The workload can be difficult, but you end up with a better grade than expected. At least he speaks english.

Dr. Turner made no sense to me. None of his examples worked out, his tests (as hard as they were) had almost no weight on the grade of the class, and his teaching style is not only difficult, his grading very harsh, but i didn't learn too much, sadly.

Supposedly knows networks, he sure doesn't program. Could not figure out that writing C++ on a unix compiler and compiling on a different compiler would cause a crash. Could not write functional code in class. Has the personality of a squeezed lemon.
