I really love taking this Professor! At the beginning he was a tough grader but he teaches you how to become better at your writing. He gives you In-class essays and essay homework! He has a very mellow voice which relaxes you. Be prepare to do your best! It makes it easier for him and you.

Very eloquent, fair grader, and great lecturer. Participation was important, but that's expected for a class that's heavily based on discussion. The assigned readings weren't entirely difficult, but you can get behind if you miss more than two classes at a time. I had him during the time of the brushfires, and he was very understanding.

Comment:

Great writing instructor. Took two sections of composition with him before transferring to UCLA, where I won the undergraduate essay competition using style tips from his class. Take him if you're interested in developing as a collegiate writer. Not for the slacker crowd.

He is very intelligent and does know his information, but he does have a superiority complex. You WILL feel like nothing is good enough. His work load is almost insufferable, and my other classes suffered from it. Quizzes every week, and essays due every three weeks. I learned from his class, but I'm going to retake it without him being my prof.

As a busy homeschooler with jobs in the voiceover industry and teaching English as a Foreign language, I had not written a single essay since middle school before taking Wozniak's class between my Junior and Senior year of High School. The fact that by the end of 6 weeks I loved literature and writing, speaks. He taught me to think. Thank you sir!

Wozniak can be challenging to follow. This may prove difficult for some students. He is also very demanding and grades precisely, which is also unpopular with many students. I enjoy the challenge of his class. He forces you to pay attention and apply yourself. If you're in school to actually learn, consider Wozniak.

All of my classes in high school were honors, and I've never received a grade lower than an "A", especially in my favorite subject (English). I tested into his 203 class and started the semester with 40 kids. By the end, there were 7 kids left. I got a C in this class.

Wozniak is a very intelligent man and a great teacher. Do not take this class if you are expecting an easy A. The work load is tough, but well worth it I have learned so much in his class. He has always been helpful, concise, and conscientious(he hands out packets at the beginning of the term to save students money on textbooks)

I did learn a fair amount in his class, but he is the hardest grader I've ever encountered...ever. He even admitted that he has not given out a SINGLE A for a course grade to ANY student in the last 5 years. I was one of only two "B's" in my class. In the beginning, there were about 40 students. Only 7 of us remained by the end of the semester.

We have four hours of lecture time a week and he only spends 50 minutes actually lecturing on his worthless packet with no educational value to it! The other three hours he gives us quizzes on stuff he does not teach and expects us to know! AVOID AT ALL COSTS DON'T WASTE A SEMESTER WITH THIS PROFESSOR

He is a OK professor. I took ENG 100 over the summer as a high school student, he is somewhat clear, and is a hard grader. If you want to really learn English this guy is for you. But it is way to hard for course so I urge you to go to another.

If this was my ONLY class during FALL then maybe it would be tolerable.(I took him over this Summer and dropped the class before it showed on my transcripts)He is very very difficult to keep up with, he is fast and unclear. Lots of students dropped the class right away. The Professor is great at what he does he just isn't very pro-student.

Mr. Wozniak is a very sarcastic, uncompromising teacher. He expects a lot out of every student and especially grades essays like a madman. Anyone who wants a hardcore English teacher, take this guy. Otherwise, DONT TAKE HIM! More than half our class was gone halfway through the semester. :(

If you don't like writing then you shouldn't take him. He's very strict on essays, red ink is what you'll most likely see on them. And if you fail an essay you don't get the chance to rewrite it. His quizzes aren't normal. He asks the most weirdest questions on those quizzes.

Comment:

This class killed me. Wozniak is an intelligent man, and I learned what makes an essay decent, but his English 100 class is extreamly hard and the homework load is unrelenting. Also, his quizzes are ridiculous. Once he asked for the correct spelling of 'methamphetamine'. I recommend finding another english teacher if you can. I failed.
