Comment:
Dr. Armstrong is the worst math teacher ever. Who teaches math from a powerpoint? He would write his own examples, come to class to teach them, and not know how to do them. I would never take him again. Awful professor.

I like Dr. Armstrong, but his lectures can be confusing. When in class, I took notes on the book and did my homework while listening to him and picking up on anything important he said. I found this was the best way to learn. He makes some great points, but not always the best explanations.

Didn't learn anything from his lectures, I had to teach myself everything from the book. He gets confused in the middle of his own problems. He knows everything about the TI-89 though.

I had all this material in another class, so I was ok, but a good portion of the class got lost. There were a few critical places where his explanations and/or reasoning were unclear. Nice guy, laid back, cares about students, did a decent job overall. Not an overly difficult class.

Very friendly and helpful outside of class and open to suggestions/corrections during class. Also answers questions helpfully during class and will stop what he's doing to make sure you understand. The powerpoint can get a little old, but he does do some in-class coding.

Very clear on what he expects your programs to do. Is willing to assist students in his office. Anyone that has had a problem with him has never looked for help outside of their scheduled class time. He is very easy to get along with and very helpful. Plus he likes Rollercoaster Tycoon!

Powerpoint is a horrible way to teach CS. Just not at all interesting or appropriate for the class and typical CS student learning style(s).

All he did was powerpoint and copy the code samples out of the book to put in his sides. Information was sketchy and unclear. Missed many chapels to come in for extra instruction.

Knowledgeable about his subject and is almost always available to answer questions. He only gives a max score of 95 on his programming assignments in his CS I & II classes unless you make it do something extra, which he specifies. Good overall professor.
