Comment:

Baldner is actually the best. He uses your last name so that youre on an equal level with him from the start. Hes a fair marker, and while you gotta do the readings, he explains stuff really well in class. Hes the best possible mix of your dad and your cool uncle. 10/10 would recommend, like you feel bad blowing off his class hes so awesome.

Baldner is a gem, he laughs at his own jokes but trust me, they're solid. Harldy wrotes anything down, so make sure you take lots of notes. He explains everything in class so if you happen to miss something or forget to read youre not completely lost the rest of the week. Definitely recommend Baldner!

Hands down my favourite professor! He is such a kind and lovely person. His lectures are interesting and are pretty easy to follow if you pay attention. He knows you by name and takes interest in you as a person. Honestly one of the best people you could meet. I wish all of my professors are like him!!

Baldner is hilarious! He's very easy to follow along with and thats hard while teaching a confusing course like philosophy. I enjoyed going to his class! He is a tough marker and makes you work your marks, but the class material isnt too hard.

I had Baldner first year and I can easily say that he is one of my favourite profs hands down. He is one of the kindest and friendly professors and really has a passion for what he teachers. The class can be tough if you dont go or pay attention but Baldner makes the class worth it.

This is a man who knows how to write midterms and exams. If you know the material - which he explains well in class & very well in his office - then his well-chosen & detailed questions will jog your memory and you will be fine. If you put it down well, you will get a good mark. If not, you will get a fair mark. He's basically just very awesome.

His marking scheme was very difficult. But BEST prof I had in first year. He was so helpful and really enlightened an interest in philosophy for me. I loved his lectures, therefore keeping up with attendance is easy. He gives an awesome exam review. All around amazing prof. I am picking a course next year based soley on the fact that he's the prof.

I'm not a fan of philosophy but Prof. Baldner is a treat! Great prof, actually cares about his students' progress and understanding. He's funny and tries to make class interesting. I would absolutely recommend this course to anybody who has a remote interest in philosophy!

well I hated philosphy, but that is not to say that i hated baldner...hes a wicked prof, very fair, if your good at philosphy he'll be a breeze for you. hes got a quirky sense of humor too, very likable!

Every posting isn't an exageration. Dr. Baldner is by far the best professor I had in my 4 years at X. I took him for both 100 and 240 and both of those classes were thorough and concise. He's clearly a born teacher. He loves what he does and it shows.
