Comment:
This class took over my life for an entire semester, I worked so hard to do well in this class... but even with after class help, study sessions, and a tutor. Deloach's "I'm Right" and "You're Always Wrong" approach left me without anything else to do. He doesn't want the right answer, he wants the best answer. Okay, like that's not subjective.

This was probably the worst class I have ever taken. DeLoach is arguably the worst professor I have ever had. Students are always wrong, even if you aren't (because DeLoach is always right). He makes this class miserable for all his students, assigning incredible advance and hard homework. His tests are impossible. He will destroy your grade.

I liked DeLoach but wouldn't take again. Had him for business fellows Econ which is probs harder than his normal classes. Def makes you work for it but I did well in the end. Go after school, talk to him at office hours, make study groups with your class, and let him read your paper before you hand it in. If you work for it you will be fine!

I really do not suggest anyone taking this course. I do not know anyone who had Professor Deloach and liked him, and or were happy with their grade. Talks down to his students when they ask questions, he assumes that everyone should be on his level. Really hurt my GPA. Take economics with someone else, you will regret this class.

This was the hardest economics class I have ever taken, he expects students to know things he has never talked about before and is very unhelpful. When asked a question he barely answers it or makes it more confusing. I do not normally write these reviews, but even as an economics major this class was very hard. I would not recommend.

This is the worst teacher/professor I have ever had. Do not take this class if you actually want to learn something or pass, he is a horrible teacher and treats students like they had doctorates in economics. Does not explain things and is horrible. Lectures are boring and confusing, he can barely teach and grades kids so hard that most kids fail.

Professor Deloach was probably my hardest professor this semester and I would not recommend taking. I had to take this class as there were no other spots and I wish I waited for a better professor. His grading scale is way way too harsh and students constantly complain to him, and he does not grade very many things. Avoid this class if you can.

Very smart professor, but this guy cant relate with his students at all, and expects everyone to be on the same level of knowledge as him. His tests are long and absurd. Didnt really learn too much because I was focused on everything he was going to mark me down for. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING, however hes one of the only macro people so goodluck!

Deloach is a great person and teacher. He always encourages you to email him/go to office hours and answers questions very thoroughly in class. I took him for a business fellow class so it was hard, but he helps a lot and truly cares that his students learn the material.

Great professor. Makes econ, which I had zero interest in before the course, really relatable and interesting. Will take time out of class to explain things. Tests are very hard, but take good notes and work hard on the problem sets and you'll be fine.

Had him two years ago and he's still the best teacher I've had at Elon. So willing to help, I went to his office a few times a week. Tests are hard meaning only a few will get A's in the class. You don't really need a book for his class because he explains it all so well. Take your papers to him before they are due and he will give you adivice.

Dr. DeLoach is a wonderful teacher. While his classes are challenging, so is the material he has to teach. The amazing thing about him, though, is his passion for helping his students. He will help any of his students and encourage them to look deeper into ideas. Plus he lacks complete common sense sometimes...it's hilarious

this guys is really cool, funny, friendly - but the class sucks. tries to make class interesting but just doesnt work. if you arent good at excel or stats, dont take him. tests are impossible, most of us failed the midterm. he is willing to work with you out of class though. dont get behind its too hard to catch up.
