Ginley is a professor that genuinely wants to see his students succeed and improve their public speaking skills. He does have pop quizzes but if you do the assigned readings (which are not too long, btw) they're easy points. Attendance is important if you want an A, but he makes his lectures so engaging you won't want to skip :).

The effort you put into this class will show through your grade. You will actually learn with Professor Ginley, and he wants you to do well. He's available to help you if needed, and always answers his emails. Even though he has a harsh sense of humor, it's clear that he cares about his students.

I wish I gave it my all. You must show up and care about your grade. Public speaking is a fundamental skill in our lives. I wish I did better. He grades according to your work. He will motivate you to the fullest and give feedback on the things that matter. Feeling nervous? No problem, you will overcome it in his class. Should be at a university!

A lot of valuable info, not just about giving speeches, but how to BUILD a good speech! Class was enjoyable because he uses different methods to teach material. If you put in the effort its very easy to do well. He eases you into your first speech to help with nervousness. A little more time consuming that I had anticipated, but I would take again!

First, lets begin with the fact that he wrote the book, which is at the bookstore for TEN dollars. He is very clear, his book is phenomenal, he runs PowerPoints before class with the test questions and answers, right before the test. He is very helpful and fun. Seriously, speech 101 is most peoples nightmares and he makes it a DREAM!

omg can technology hurry up and make cloning a thing already because they seriously need to clone this guy. He is so good at his job and making people feel comfortable and helps us get over our fears and anxiety. I wish I had kids already so they can have him as their first speech teacher. hes that amazing. Super helpful

Mr. Ginley is probably my favorite teacher ever. No one has ever taught with such grace and passion as he does. If you seriously want to improve your work ethic for every other class, take his class. I suggest you absolutely take his class.

By far the best professor I have had yet! Took him over the summer for a 5week crammed course with tons of info but passed with an A! Takes hard work-test are fill the blank. Loved this class and learned great tools to use for everyday life! Such a funny person that's so inspiring! You will love this class I promise. 16week course will be easier!:)

He was an amazing Teacher! I highly recommend him. He does give test every week but they're really easy if you read the chapter that was assigned; the answers are in there. He makes class so much fun and really makes you feel comfortable. He honestly helped me with talking in front of people.
