Great professor. Super helpful and he is very caring. You have a 20 question quiz every monday. Read the book and give a 1-2 sentence summary for every paragraph. For notes, make a quizlet and have everything from the lecture on it. The lectures are short, most of my quizlets were under 30 terms

Super nice and actually responded to my emails, giving me info on a topic essay for another class--not even the Pepperdine Admin responded. Makes topics interesting, videos, lectures etc. Reading is half the class. all quizes are multi choice based on lect/book (50/50). I got an E-textbook, maybe that was a mistake but it had practice quizzes.

3 hour lectures are killer. He's enthusiastic about the subject, but it doesn't make it interesting. You must read AND attend the lecture to do well on the quizzes - which solely comprise your grade. Extra credit, which is nice.

Lecture is so worth going to! The way he grades is awesome, there's one quiz every week, which you have to study for, but thats it, and the final is just another weekly quiz. The format is awesome, use the online study guide, he takes questions right from it

The best teacher I've ever had, period. The only class I enjoy going to every week. He keeps everyone interested with interesting facts and fun movie clips. Easy A if you do the 2 hours of reading each week and go to class. I never studied and have a 99%. GREAT subject, great guy, great class. TAKE ROUSE

Dr. Rouse is a great professor and I enjoy his class. This class is easy if you take the time to actually review lecture notes and read. Weekly quizzes make up your total grade. He convinced me to choose psychology as a major. He is wonderful!

Dr. Rouse may be the best teacher I've had yet. The class is fun and informative, one that you actually look forward to attending... plus he's a helpful, cordial, crystal-clear teacher, and overall an extremely nice guy. The class is a weekly quiz on 3-4 chapters of material, so it's directly based on your effort (easy if you study). Take him!

This is the best class I've had at Pepperdine so far. Not only was it easy, but it was so much fun that I looked forward to going to class. There are no tests and the quizzes are easy if you read the notes. Take this class... you won't regret it.

You must take the online quizes and scan the reading, but hey if you do that you should get an A or at least a B. He tells you how to do well. And I liked the consistent tests. Makes you learn and keep up

Incredibly good teacher. Very willing to help, and excellent use of class time. Reading the book a must, but compared to other classes at Pepperdine, it's quite easy b/c he actually asks fair questions. A note on easiness, though: The more I studied the worse I did. Go figure.

It's been a couple of years since I took this class, but I remember more from it than any other majors class. If he still does weekly quizzes, don't let it fool you, cause I had to read more for this class than any other. But since it was once a week, I read the book instead of just skipping it.
