Comment:

Had him for a Bible interpretation class. Lots of reading and long lectures, but only the best professors can make it feasible. He wasn't too happy if students didn't do the reading and engage in discussion, but he was very straightforward about what needed to be done to succeed.

GREAT professor! I think he said he would be leaving to teach at Stanford next year, and it's a shame. Pretty easy class, but also very interesting and Weitzman does a great job engaging students, especially for a straight-lecture class.

Weitzman is an amazing teacher. He's extremely knowledgeable about theology, as well as being in touch with popular culture. He's funny, and entertaining too. R210 is one of the best classes i've ever had. I would totally recommend him in a heartbeat!!!!!

Intro to Hebrew Bible. Very good "Old Testament" class, i majored in REL, but the class had many non-majors who were very satisfied with the experience. Easy as heck as long as you bother to show up and pay attention.
