NOT AT ALL BAD! Like the other ratings stated. He is intimidating if you are too sensitive and take things personal. His class was my SECOND attempt at QMB and he explained it in a way I understood it (by theories in plain English and not in numerical terms). You MUST read the chapters in order to understand it and pass the class. GOOD LUCK!

The most frustrating part about taking this class was not that the professor was useless, but that attendance is mandatory. His lectures are completely ridiculous as he does not convey the lecture in a cohesive manner. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend this professor to ANYONE.

It is very difficult to understand him, the learning environment is intimidating. He cannot convey the subject matter effectively, then asks the class questions and nobody knows. The book was useless as well cause what he has on his test is no where to be found. Avoid him at all costs, and I should have listened to the negative reviews!!!

After reading all the horrible comments about this teacher I was mortified when I got stuck with him.The guy is definitely a rude prick but he knows his stuff and you just cant take it personal, thats just the way he is...if you talk to him more and more you will see hes actually nice guy. I graduated from FIU 10 years ago, and I just found out about this site. I feel that it is my duty to warn you! This guy was, by far, the worst instructor I've had in my entire life. If he is still teaching, AVOID HIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS! His teaching method is terrible, he appears to loathe the students, and he is difficult to understand.

This class was not easy, but the professor always put the terma in plain English, that helped a lot. If you do your HW you'll be fine. Participation is a must. The test are hard, so study a lot. Use the website of the book, it will help you.

OMG he is horrible! There is not enough space to write about him. He "encourages" class participation but when you answer incorrectly he makes you feel like an idiot. His test have NOTHING to do with the class lectures. Thanks to him I am retaking next semester. Advise: Avoid him at ALL COSTS!

He is very fair when he grades, and he really knows how to teach. If you want to learn, take his class. He likes people to participate in his class and if you do, you will get extra credit for it. His exams are not that hard, just tricky; but if you attend every class, do the homework and the quizzes you will learn and do great in the class.

Prof Zanakis was extremely hard. He makes you understand the work, when he does it in class, but when you take the test, its a whole new story. You can pass the class if you come everday and make a strong effort. I got a C+ and could have done better. You must put in the effort.
