Comment:
This course is hard - It's difficult for me to decide whether this is because Baker is a bad prof, or simply because there is a huge amount of material to go over. Probably a bit of both. Study for the tests and you'll be fine - he offers a pretty large curve.

No point in even going to class. Not good at lecturing or answering questions. Read the book multiple times and you will do well.

He seemed like he was nice, but the class was horrible, he rushed material and didn't seem to care when I asked him for help he said "some people aren't that good at economics" and walked away from me, when I wasn't even done talking to him. I hate this class. Take it somewhere else!!!!!

I had Baker for international finance. He was a very interesting teacher but for some reason I didn't do well in this class. He always rushed out of class and often forgot when I arranged to meet with him after class. If you have a good study group you will do well in the class.

It's hard to honestly give a good review since I only had him for a seminar class. Pretty strict on grading, expects paper sources to vary from the internet. VERY Opinionated! "Not a professor but a moderator." I hear MacroEcon. is hell!

I loved this class!! Easy to get good grades if you pay attention to what he is saying about the graphs and then read the book. This is not a class where you can memorize things though, so make sure you understand the concepts before the exam. If you don't, ask him...he is more than willing to help!

All of his examples are about pizza, drugs and rich friends, like he's trying to cater to the traditional students. He was very tough and even tougher when attempting an actual conversation or question. He often "answered" questions with tyrades, but no actual answers. It would also be nice if he checked his politics at the door.

If you were not good at Econ 100, you`ll probably get a low grade from Baker's class. However, if you know the stuff, you can easily pass.

He is a nice man but he is not a good teacher. He knows what he is talking about but he has a hard time explaining it because he is so smart. Not really necessary to come to class because you can get more from reading the book on your own.

This class is a must-take for econ and business majors. And just as well, because Baker challenges you to study on your own, so you learn the material better. Best social-studies class to take for non-econ majors as well.
