He is really an inspirational teacher, he's done so much in his life (that he'll definitely tell you about) and explains everything crystal clear. His tests are hard, you DO need to study, but he's very cut and dry about what he asks of you. He's always smiling and in a good mood, probably the happiest professor I've ever had.

i'm graduating this semester - he was the best professor i had. HE ROCKS! he teaches in a way that keeps you involved and he's also the greatest person. i changed to a psych major because of him. don't miss him.

He is VERY easy and very entertaining. You don't have to do much to get an A. His exams are VERY simple. He lets you go early. He is like a good father/grandfather to his students. May be a little over the top, but overall a good teacher.

barnhart is an AMAZING prof. he is very knowledgable and passionate about psychology and teaching and he keeps you interested in the class. his exams are pretty easy as long as u do the readings. it was never a problem going to class cuz he made it interesting. also some exam ques are from lecture so its helpful to go but he's the man!

he is the best prof, hands down. I missed one of the exams because i forgot about it and he let me retake it without even asking for an excuse...who else at rutgers would do that? He legitimately cares about his students, and its obvious every class. Tests are a little harder then youd expect, but study and you'll do fine, and he gives xtra cred

Barnhart is THE MAN!!! Easily the best teacher/professor I have every had. Class is actually interseting and he lets you out early most of the time. Exams are never more the 35 questions and he even tells you exactly whats going to be on the exam the class before. Just go over his class notes and back of chapter summaries nd u'll b fine. Easy A!

Anyone who wants to take psych 101 should pick Barnhart as a professor. He's funny and keeps you interested in class. Its the only class I can stay awake in..You dont have to go to class if you read the book. His tests are pretty descent. It's not hard or anything. Pick him.

hands down THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! he is genuninely such a nice/caring person. He always talks about his family and really loves life. Read the book, and you'll ace the exams. Lecture helps to reinforce the readings. Barnhart is amazing! Right before the exam he whipped out his guitar and played "she will be loved" by maroon 5! I love him :)

Barnhart is by far the best psych teacher to take this class with. He's clear and concise, which is good if you haven't taken any psych before. He's funny, talks about his family a lot, he keeps class short (by a 1/2 hour) & he sings. The exams are easy if you read. You don't have to go to lecture but you're going to want to because of him!

Prof. Barnhart was one of the nicest, down-to-earth teachers I've ever had. He makes Psychology so much more interesting and although his exams are multiple choice, I found the first one to be somewhat confusing. However, I didn't study for it and I got a 76. Overall, he is a great guy. I love him as a teacher.

this guy is awesome!!!!! not only were his lectures probably the most insightful and interesting lectures i've ever been to, he is the nicest human being ive ever met. soooo helpful and interesting. amazing teacher, obviosly loves what he does. tests are easy as hell if you just read. and hes great looking.

You dont have to go to lecture because you only learn some of the stuff, but as long as you read the book and do his practice exams you'll be fine. The practice exams had some of the same questions as the real exam. I didnt go to class and just cramed the night before and got a b+.
