Extremely sweet man. Sometimes lectures get boring, but he definitely adds something to it to keep people interested. Relatively hard class, but easy to follow and he is always available to help. Definitely recommended professor!!!

Great Teacher, maybe the best I had. But I think that after the class is over. During the semester I thought he and the class was awful. The class is very very hard but not impossible.

Tests are VERY challenging, but can be passed if you put the work in. I study 7-9 hours for each test, as does mostly everyone in the class. Although it is a hard class, Lemley is extremely knowledgeable and wants his students to succeed. Class isn't always a straight lecture; there are a lot of group exercises, videos, and discussions.

He is a very intense professor... laptops are not allowed... lots of reading. Test are hard as are quizzes. You learn a lot but for a 3 unit class there is a lot of work

This class is very challenging, and i had to study my butt off for each exam. Pop quizes are usually unexpected, and he often asks very detailed questions. Just ask him for help, he's very friendly!

Lemley is an awesome professor. Everyone says the class is hard but if you study you have nothing to worry about. Flashcards are very usefull. He's really sweet and can be funny if you catch on to his humor.

First semester at Pepperdine..he caused me to change my major. for a class with mostly new freshmen, he did NOTHING to help us study. The class was so hard - i got a C. I have heard it is easier now but the absolute only key to success is to get the old tests and memorize the answers. a really boring class and person for a fun major

Worst class I have ever taken at Pepperdine. His tests are meant to trick you and not teach you. The point of this class is not to give us trick, ambiguous, questions...tho most students make decent grades by obtaining the previous years tests. Take this class with another teacher...thats what I did and I made an A in Comm200!

He is a genuinely nice man and tries to make sure the class understands the subject. It is a lot of memorization on the part of the student and certain parts of the course get redundant. Still he is willing to help and if you put the extra effort you'll do well.

This was the worst class I have ever had in my entire college career! Yes. He is a nice guy out of class and "cares" but there is nothing you can do if you do not understand his rediculous subjective exam ?'s. He speaks in monotone the ENTIRE time. Don't take his classes. I almost had a nervous breakdown just from one class of his! I warned you!

He may be a nice, grandfatherly-like man, but his tests are awful - so many terms to memorize its dizzying - you better make flash cards from day one, that's all I can say. by the end of the semester you'll be expected to know about a hundred theorists and what they believed. He will give you extra help if you ask - class is boring and long

Lemley's such a nice guy, he really wants his students to do well. If you have any questions, he's more than willing to help you out. HOWEVER, his classes go by really slowly and tend to get really boring! His tests might take a while to get used to, too. But if you like Comm Theory, go for it!

Lemly is soooooooo helpful. If you are unclear on something just go see him in his office. He loves when his students stop by and he is a very nice person. If you read in this class and take notes you will do well. I highly recommend Lemley. He is one of the best teachers i have had.

Lemley is a good professor. He tends to sometime sound monotone in class...which can almost make you go to sleep. But he has an interesting take on the theories. He is also a really nice guy. Tests aren't terrible if you just study the overall grasp of each theory.
