For a tough class, it was really a great experience with Dr. Strong. Great instructor, really easy tests, take home final exam, and he definitely cares about students' lives more than most professors. I would go out of my way to take him again.

Professor Strong is very funny and engages with the class. On Mondays, he starts class with music, and on Fridays, he starts class with polls. He only takes attendance when people stop showing up; every 10 attendances allows you to drop a homework score. He curves your final grade relative to the whole class and gives extra credit chances weekly.

Likable person, lectures are easy to follow, I learned a lot. One note: I'm almost done with my degree, and this class had more homework than literally any other college course I've taken. Homework due nearly every day, graded for correctness. That's not to say it was the most work--it's just a very "high school" approach to assignments.

He really tries to make an impact in your life which is why I came to this university in the first place. He makes the math a little more difficult compared to my previous calculus professor, but he's really accessible outside of class so it's not a big issue. Definitely would recommend him to other students who need a calculus professor.

One of my favorite at Pepperdine. He not only teaches math, but also tries to influence your life. I love his $5 plan, the strawberries, and the Thursday voting. Choose him, especially for Math 316 and 260.

I'm not really into math, but he helped (required) us to really learn and understand, rather than just try to teach to the test, like what I used to in high school. It took some getting used to, but it was for our benefit, even if I didn't like being challenged quite so much.

Such an awesome prof. Class required a large time commitment, but material wasn't hard. Exams aren't too difficult if you study a little. Nice guy, he even took us to see an LA Phil concert. Take him if you have a chance.
