Comment:
Steve is great, his methods are unconventional yet interesting at the same time. With this said, the readings can be tough, but as is with most SOCI courses. Funny guy who is not right-winged with his opinions like most other self righteous soci-profs; this is a prof you can actually have a meaningful and critical conversation with.

His lectures were all over the place he is not organized one bit, decided for the first few weeks of class it would be a good idea to write on bagel bags in marker on a overhead which made the lecture impossible to read & understand.I'm assuming sociology isn't his first teachable..seemed a little lost at times i/e assignment guidelines=what a mess

wonderful, charismatic, thoughtful, complex, unassuming, educated thinker. left such a huge impression on me at a time when i was enduring much hardship in the academy. of all my professors, he made me feel appreciated where i was always made to feel unwelcome.

He is not too bad but I think his teaching is way too abstract, and is more appropriate for graduate and independant learners. the grading scheme is not too clear. Made major mistakes in grades causing us to freak out.

Cool Proff! teaches outside of the box! Very refreshing and challenges his students. Sense of humour is in full force at all times..too bad if students cannot understand it...missing out!

Comment:
Do not take this course. He is royally disorganized and changes the syllabus and the exam marking scheme multiple times. He is an unfair marker, and expects things from her students without any clear indication. .Highly advise not taking this course, as prof is ridiculous. Be prepared for no instructions for assignments, and to be expected to know

Dr. Pinter is a dedicated professor who seeks to challenge students at the university level. He tries very hard to help the students who want to learn. A word of advice, Do not come to his classes without doing the readings and expect that you can just sit around. If you do your stuff he will do his!

I enjoyed being in Prof Pinter's class. His lectures are easy to understand, he cracks jokes here and there, showed movies and the course load was light, something I didn't expect. Anyways, I thought he was cool.

Pinter was the best!!! this class rocked, not only was it uber easy but this was probably one of the most entertaining courses ive taken...very refreshing; however, the class he taught was a little removed from his field of study, sosc...and the course in itself didnt have an abundance of poli spectrum...still an amazing course though

He is caring, thoughtful, considerate and helpful. Steven is also very encouraging and will motivate u to do better. He also gave extra marks to plausible answers on a test where people had done poorly on the multiple choice. Great prof!

steve was my TA in this course and I had a blast. I met many ppl in this course and his tutorials were classic. First term was all presentations. The second half we basically did nothing. But it was good times, with many memories. Thanks Steve!!

Boring lectures, course material is boring - common sense. Exam is so out of the blue. Lacks clarity in instructions. Nice guy though.

worst TA ever. does not teach, does not even bother coming to lectures. every week someone presents the material professor covered the week before (that counts as participation) - isnt that supposed to be his job?!?? very rude, always interrupts people's presentations. trust me, you'll learn NOTHING
