Dr. Goetz pushes you to the edge which is rarely done in classrooms. I have a new appreciation for philosophers - they think outside of they box hell they think in general which is also something that people rarely do these days. I learned from him that thinking is crucial and to question things that may come your way is not a bad thing at all:)

He's a very tough prof. Test questions are very often confusingly worded and hazy as to what he wants from you. In class discussions consist of him shooting down everyone's opinion and then wondering why no one talks in class.

he was a good person to listen to but when paper time came it would never be what he was looking for even when you would go to him and ask him specificly if this is what he wanted. He would show you what he wanted then when you get it back he writes all over it "this isn't what i was looking for"

EXTREMELY tough class. But heck the class it titled "Meaning of Life" so it is a tough question. Mr. Goetz simply forces his students to step outside of a box and think in another's shoe (something that is done rarely among professors).Great teacher, polite, grades pretty hard but fair. great class

Amazing teacher! I've never been pushed to work so hard in my life, he truly prepared me for my future classes and improved my writing skills. Most kids in my class hated him, but i'm sure they'll thank him later, as long as they took the oppertunity to learn from what he taught us. I hope they did.
