Provides example problems with solutions before each exam that make up the majority of the problems on the respective test. Fair grader this semester. Gave the option of extra credit that could be worth up to half of a letter grade. Not the most exciting guy, but it's worth the lack of unwelcome surprises. Attendance was recorded.

This guy saved my linear algebra course. He has an excellent method of teaching the class, especially only given 6 weeks to cover all 6 chapters. His examples are thorough and so are his lectures. He is a funny and relatable guy and never comes without a smile on his face. Would recommend to anyone.

I did not enjoy this class. He made the material abstract and confusing. Not enough grades so the tests are extremely important. The tests were based on too few questions. I typically enjoy calculus but struggled in this class because I had to teach myself everything. I would not take this professor again - try to take another one!!

He was assigned to our class on the first day of class. He is a very nice guy but he does not explain the material very well at all. We are just now almost done with the class and there are only 12 people in are class and majority of the class is failing.

He's a nice guy, but he cannot lecture at all. The material isn't really that difficult but there's a lot of it and I had to learn it all on my own from the book, which made things a little harder. If you are willing to do the homework he assigns and read the book a lot, you'll be fine. If not, good luck.

Very sporadic. Loves to teach using mathematical theory instead of working example problems therefore the book is now your teacher. Will spend and entire 50 minutes doing HW problems in class, and gives weekly one question quizzes from one HW problem. Attendance isn't mandatory but he gives minimal extra credit for it. Smart guy, but don't take.

If only they would allow me to use expletives to describe having class with this guy. Lectures are absolutely useless but thank god that he makes the class mandatory. If you're brilliant with math and are good at using the book you'll do fine but if you need the lectures to actually do well drop the class or get a tutor.

Only showed up to class to sign attendance sheet (gives you some attendance credit) and would leave. His lectures are useless. I learned the material by myself. Do the homework and study it. Quizzes once a week entail 1 of the homework problems from that week. Great TA, otherwise I don't know what I would've done. He is NOT good at teaching.

He says ugh a lot. He wastes a lot of time on homework problems, however he is happy to work as many as the students want. Each week there is a quiz worth 10 points taken directly from the homework. He uses a grader, who is highly generous with partial credit. If you do the homework, you will realize the tests are very similar. UGH ALOT!

Very sporadic, usually can get off topic easily. Uses class time for proofs instead of examples which leaves you still unknowing of the information and confused. He gave us one quiz every week unless there was a test, and the problem comes from the homework. Tough tests, poor lecturer. Bonus for attendance- requires you to sign in so go to class.

He's completely unprepared to teach class. He doesn't work tests before we do, so all mistakes are found during/after we take it. He goes off on tangents that make little sense. I taught myself the entire course, but it was a struggle. Just do yourself a favor and don't take this guy, and if you get him then switch classes.

Professor Baldwin is a fantastic professor. He has great knowledge and interest in the material, has a lot of patience, answers questions well. The material (Cal II) is more on the difficult side but he makes it so that an A is within reach.

Very good teacher and is very helpful when you ask questions. Every time anyone asks a question, his face lights up and is very glad that people are truly interested. Come to class, do the homework, and study and you will do exceptionally well in his class. I highly recommend him.

Fantanstic professor, interesting class. Topology isn't easy, but Dr. Baldwin goes out of his way to make it accessible. He's very helpful in office hours, too. Tests are fairly straightforward, and there's a generous curve. The class takes some effort, but it's not impossible.

I don't understand a single thing this teacher says. He doesn't understand the questions that I or anyone else asks. It's obvious that he knows the material that he teaches, but I and everyone else I talk to in this class have no idea whats going on.

diff eq is a tough class made harder by his grading. Takes off points for the smallest errors, and does not curve very much. average was probably a mid c...and he's really awkward

2630 might be wrong, but its Diff EQ. Baldwin had no interest in what he was teaching. He mumbled his way through his lectures and didn't respond to a single email. He was extremely unprepared for class, and his tests were a lot more difficult than the examples we worked in class. Stay away.
