I was apprehensive going into this class after reading other reviews, but I was surprised. Professor Johnson is great and he goes off on tangents but they're usually relevant. His first quiz and midterm wasn't that hard, the final was kinda hard. But he's straightforward. Memorize the constitution, and pay attention. Stay up with current events.

Comment:

The professor is nice. However his teaching method is not helpful. No study guide or power point is provided for your reference. All you have to do are paying attention in class and taking good notes. Reading textbook also helps. Making sure you study the Constitution well. Not a relaxing class. Do not expect an A if you do not take it seriously.

i dont get why people say hes difficult, i will say his test are stressful since he does not give a guide,pay attention and take quick notes about the things he talks about,then look for them in the book. also when studying the constitution, focus more on the amendments rather then the first couple articles, though you still need to know those too

Nightmare class. Do not even think about taking his class. He is the most unclear teacher I?ve ever had and most things on midterm/final were not even discussed during the class. He is very confusing.

Not as horrible a teacher as other ratings would indicate. He does go off on tangents, but everything that's on the test is in the lectures or the text. Tests are mostly from the lectures, though. There's one paper, but it doesn't require a lot of research. Just write well. A little bit of work, but an easy class overall.

the man is crazy. I remember turning in a paper for him and receiving it back without a grade-instead he just scribbled a random shape on it (I ended up getting an A in the class, but it was still confusing). Lots of random facts from his lectures turn up on the midterm/final. Shows you schoolhouse rock in class sometimes.
