Taking a course with professor Glennan is extremely challenging. The reading is hefty and difficult. The assignments will make you want to quit. That being said, keep at it. Glennan gives you the opportunity to genuinely thrive in an adult context. Some things just aren't easy.

An insanely smart man and funny in his own way but there are pop quizzes all the time so do the readings. There is at least four hours of homework a week. I learned a lot from this class but I didn't do too well in it. Very hard class.

Glennan talks in circles a lot, so make sure you really read the assignments because youre not going to get much clarification from his lectures at all. There is a LOT of reading. Your success in this class is based 75% on how much work you do (do everything you can on the list) and 25% on the mood he was in when grading.

a bit tough and too philosophical for the freshman english class, and tried to fit way too much in one semester to the point where nobody was keeping up with the reading, but I did learn a lot about improving my writing style and actively reading
