I felt like this course (Precal) was all review, no real teaching. Most if not all the homework was in Mymathlab. Also, beware of the final. The part that she made was alright but the core was all graphing when I took it and quite honestly I am very surprised I passed.

Math isn't my strong suit at all and I honestly should've failed this class as she only accumulates your grades by the tests and quizzes she gives but she only does that so it forces you to study the material. I completely bombed the final and should've gotten a C but because I always visited her during office hours she was generous with my grade.

Professor Cloen is very caring and provides many opportunities for you to do well. She has a lot of tricks to help you memorize certain concepts. There is homework every class that will really help you succeed. She provides a lot of extra help outside the textbook so other than the pearson code I wouldn't bother with the book.

She is a genuinely nice lady. If you are sick she will bring you a glass of tea to class. Gives practice exams & quizzes before each test. If you fail with her it is entirely your own fault. Take advantage of office hours, not many people do, the one on one help really makes a difference. Book is optional you can do homework online or from book

Class was pre-calc. She was an amazing teacher. Great techniques for teaches us, simple and easy to remember. Do the homework and you'll pass. I can almost guarantee if you don't, you will struggle. I will need the book, and it does help to have it as she gives out a lot of study guides using questions from the book, it really helps! Great teacher!

Amazing professor! she drops the lowest quiz grade, replaces lowest test score with the final if its higher than any test and no mandatory hw. she also gives out test and quiz examples for you to study if you have the hw completed. DO THE HOMEWORK! she takes questions from the hw and puts them on the quizzes. if you do the hw you get an easy A

I recommend everbody to take calculus with her. Her explanations are very clear, she helps you outside the classroom, and her test and quizzes are kind of easy. I received an A without doing most of the homework since she doesn't grade homework. So easy!

I LOVEEEEEEE THIS PROFFESSOR! I NEVER UNDERSTOOD MATH MORE THAN I DID UNTIL I TOOK THIS CLASS. SHE IS FABULOUS AT EXPLANING THINGS IN A REAL WORLD SENSE AND EVEN BRINGS OUT THE INNER CHILD WITHIN HER SELF TO TEACH. EXAMPLES SHE USES ARE GENERALLY FUNNY AND EASY TO REMEMBERS SO WHEN YOU TAKE THE TEST YOU SHOULD DO FINE. BEST TEACHER ON CAMPUS!!!

I took her for CMS about two times and still bad grade. Hence, I hate her policy because she will not grade for homework/attendance that leads to lack of motivation. In addition, she gave us many trick questions on exams. However, she is a nice but sometimes frustrate if you are not good math.

Best math teacher in the school. Easy A if you pay attention in her class and do the homework. She is extremely helpful and answers questions with clarity. Practice quizzes and tests are really helpful. If you struggle with math take her if you can.

Cloen is great! She's very friendly and always willing to help. She makes math concepts very simple and easy to understand. She wants the students to do well and it shows. Grade is based on a few tests and quizzes; a quiz grade is dropped & final exam grade can be substituted for another test. If you have to take calc, definitely take it with her!
