Wish I could've taken a full 3-cred class with her (only took 1-cred Int'l Rel thr. Film)! So funny, very knowledgeable, understanding of students, clever, thinks with both sides of her brain. Glad she's going back to full-time teaching!

she is wonderful. intelligent, witty, clear, eloquent, personable, and just a truly truly nice person. do the readings, you'll really get a lot out of it, lectures are very important so go to class, go for outside help, not an easy A but very reasonable and very doable.

Peterson: Two 5-6 page papers and the option to take an oral final. Oakes: Two 5-6 page papers, two midterms, 1 15-20 page final paper, and a final exam. You do the math. Peterson is an incredibly nice lady with some pretty cool lectures, but she has some downfalls including a kinda hard grading scheme and a ton of assigned readings. Still take it!

Material is dry as hell, which is why it's amazing that she brings it to life. She's hilarious! If you don't have to take this class for credit (ie non-IR majors) do it pass/fail so you can sit back and watch the show. Total riot.

She's a very good lecturer and classes are always interesting and informative, but she's intimidating and quite unapproachable as a person. She's knowledgeable and makes the subject very clear, but she's a tough grader. You REALLY have to work to get a B!

My favorite professor. She's absolutely hysterical and you'll learn a lot from her. Class is great because she doesn't really test, just gives papers sometimes. It's a great, no-stress way to learn. I'd take anything she's teaching in a heartbeat.
