Professor Cooley is the best professor/teacher I have ever had. She is extremely patient and willing to work things out with you when you need help. She explains things clearly and the assignments she provides are actually helpful for the class. I HIGHLY recommend her! I wish she taught MTH 222!

She is the best professor I have ever had! She is so much fun and yet I learned so much at the same time. However do not expect this class to be an easy A. The workload is huge and expect homework every night. But it is worth it, and she makes it helpful and all worthwhile. I highly reccomend her for any math class but especially 221!!!

trust me, i was just like you looking over these comments and thinking i was going to get an easy A just like everyone said i would. not the case. the final was 15 pages long of insane problems, and no one finished. however, if u do take her do ALL of the hw no matter how stupid it is and ask for help if u need it. oh and go to class!! mandatory

One of the best teachers that i have ever had. She helped me with math skills that i never thought i would understand. If education is your major make sure to have her as a teacher. There is alot of work, expect homework everyday, but it totally pays off! You will learn so much from this class !

Susan Cooley is a great math professor. Elementary math is more complex that you would imagine, Cooley is able to break lesson down and make students knowledgeable. She is very organized and manages time well. Overall great professor.

I absolutely LOVE this class. Professor Cooley is the best teacher I have had at GVSU. She has a clear passion for teaching math and I have learned so much in the time I have been in the class. Not only do I learn the material but she is also teaching me how to run my future classroom. I would definitely recommend Professor Cooley for MTH 221!

Her class is not all that easy. She is fun though and willing to explain things. Her assignments are easy but her tests are hard. I usually do well in math and I have an easy time understanding harder concepts, but I could not do well on her tests. Talk to her if you have problems.

Susan was a wonderful professor! She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well. Susan taught the class very well, so the information was not was not as overwhelming. I enjoyed going to this class, and absolutely loved Susan! I would take her again anyday if i could! You will benefit from the class by having Susan as a professor!

I absolutely loved this class! There is a lot of material and busy work, but it is really not that bad. Susan is a great professor who knows how to teach. She is very helpful if you go to her office hours, and will do anything to help you understand the material. I highly recommend her if you want to learn and have fun at the same time!
