I love her!!!!! She knows so much and just lectures from memory. All the tests are take-home essays and if you put the effort in you can do really well. Only problem is that her class is 75 minutes of lecture. If you have no interest in the bible, you might want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, I highly recommend her!!!!!

Her notes were the test. I have never taken theology before and I loved her class. I thought it was so easy. All you had to do was pay attention. Her tests took on average 12 minutes.

VERY picky on exams -- she thinks we are all theologians (in theology 1), VERY boring in class, but she enjoys what she teaches and is fun (I suppose). Take notes in class, they are the test. Avoid if pissible.

Most amazing teacher ever! The notes ARE the test. Study and takes notes and you are promised an A. You have 2 papers and 2 written tests..so easy and the nicest lady in the world! Very easy to talk to and isnt bias. I am making sure I have her for Theology II

such a great professor! she is very simple and to the point. she has such a high passion for the subject and teaches in a very clear and interesting way. you only have 2 tests which are take-home essays and you have weekly quizzes on the readings but the readings are not bad, sometimes they're only 15 pages long. so nice and an easy/fair grader!

I never met anyone so passionate about one's career until I met Prof. Matthews. I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!! She made me love theology and this is the only class i've ever taken that I havent dosed off yet. Just do the readings (quizzes are daily but EASY-trust me on this one) and you will get an A.

I absolutely love Mathews. She is a wonderful woman.. amazingly intelligent & she loves what she does. she lectures, but they are actually interesting, quizzes are on the reading & are usually one question always multiple choice or T/F. unbelievably easy

Great teacher. If you read the material, you simply cannot get a bad grade. Straightforward style, well informed, fair, totally simple quizzes, open Bible mid term....What else could you ask from Theology?
