I love him and so do all my friends who are in French! It reminds me of a high school class because it is not difficult and he knows everyone by name! He doesn't make you take notes but there really is no need, you can look at the worksheets he gives that you work on together in class to get the idea of concepts at home. Not much studying needed!

Took a class with him my final year. He is very passionate about the material which is great. Sometimes the lectures felt long. Overall, he's a good prof and I'd recommend putting in some face-time so he gets to know you and going to see him if you need help, it'll benefit you.

Such a passionate teacher, he cares so much about the material; it rubs off on you. Consistently making corny jokes, it's not off putting, however, he's more endearing in his energy! The given work is fairly simple, though some time needs to be put in in order to succeed.

TERRIBLE PROF. Explanations are not clear at all and he never gives you a clear answer on anything. We didn't get any notes just worksheets and they weren't helpful at all. Avoid him at all costs.

My major is not in French but I LOVED this class and this professor! The way he structures and presents the material is just awesome. Great analysis of the books, gives great historical/political insight, all in an engaging and super enthusiastic way. I haven't read anything in French for years but he definitely reignited my love for literature.

If you went to a french immersion school, and passed grade 12 french, this class will be a breeze. The tests are basically repeats of the quizzes, he tells you everything you need to know. Final is easy, overall easy class, great elective!! You don't even need to really go to class to get a good grade.

Favourite prof for upper level courses. Easy marker, no note taking needed as he gives you the test questions in advance, goes over the answers he wants, & lets you bring in notes. Reasonable workload (about 3 papers or tests). Goes out of his way to help by getting the books students need for their papers. Always happy & laughing.

Unbelievable. Not into his teaching whatsoever, rambles on about useless information constantly going off on tangents. Ends class early so often its a waste of time to attend. (6cr)RUN AWAY!!worst class i have taken in university!He looked at our first peice of writing at the end of feb!this is a language course!!by the end of feb,we had only earned about 2% of our grade.so it meant two tests a week until the 40% final.he never answers questions, seems confused,doesn't understand you or try to,doesn't follow syllabus

I've never seen him act like he's even remotely happy to be teaching us. One day, we missed over half a class while we all stood outside the classroom as he told us about his weekend. Then he started to cry. I paid to be improving my French, to see him tear up.

This guy's mannerisms are hilarious, his english speaking is awesome! He teaches this stuff because he likes it, not necesarily because he's good at teaching. To cover his butt, he'll let you rewrite any of his tests. I don't reccommend taking any of his classes!
