Fair marker, DO READ the text book (at least) if you choose not to go to class (recommended to go-if you don't read ahead, class will be confusing). Amazing prof... if you study the book you're fine for the multiple choice part on the test. attend class and you get the rest of the test. she gets a bit boring at times, but she really is amazing.. and her tests straight forward

No matter how much i read in the book and even though i attented most of her classes, i still couldnt make it good on the exams. I thought i would really fail this claas. I passed with a D. Psych was my major in the first year, and after this class i dropped this major and changed it to something else.

Professor Murtha was a good Prof. There was a LOT of notetaking during her class and the exams covered a huge amount of material. I found the exams to be doable. Make sure you attend every class and take notes. I enjoyed the course but it was a lot of memorizing.

Her exams are formatted so that the m/c is from the text and there was usually 3 s/a which were from lectures so as you can see lectures are not that important. Her exams were VERY EASY. I barely went to class and got a B+ but you still have to study.

She's a really nice person but her lectures were long and boring!!! I know that the actual material is dry in this course but WOW, she managed to make it worse, it was like she had an essay of the lecture pre-written and read from it! If you study, you will do fine, mainly her MC Q are from the text and her SA Q from the extra material she added to

Nice prof, good course. Re-read the chapters as many times as you can before the exam. Her notes summarize the chaptes and add some extra info, so that's good. Read those carefully too. She's very helpful and understanding. I don't know why ppl have rated her badly.

Honestly, watching paint dry is better then attendign her lectures. She is monotone, boring. When you ask questions she doesn't answer them she runs you in circles. She reads from her lecture notes. Everything in the lecture is directly from the textbook. And by directly I mean word-for-word. So very unhelpful. Worse teacher I have had thus far.

I really liked her, I mean she was a little fast, but generally a very nice person. Tried to give real life examples so we would understand the concept. Also extremely helpful, I mean I would go to her every break! And she would help me with a smile on her face!

Prof Murtha is an okay prof, by the end of the 3 hours she can become monotone, but she tries her best to make the material interesting by using corny comics. The exams are a ****, M/C is very tricky and confusing but the fill in the blanks are pretty straight forward if you've studied the material.

she was an okay teacher.. i skipped a lot of her classes because her lectures were online. However i didn't even read her lecture notes anyways because they were usless and straight from the text. Just make sure you study the guest lectures notes...which was a mistake i made. i still ended up with a b+ and didn't really try.

The MC questions were extremely TRICKY!The prof was very helpful, organize,and was always ready to teach.She definitely knows what she's teaching.She has a very low tone of voice yet manages to have a consistent and an effective teaching style;she posts her lectures ONLINE,which is helpful in notetaking!I highly recommend the class.
