Susan is a great language teacher. Having had to learn Russian herself once upon a time, she's very intuitive of the problems that English-speakers might have with the language, and addresses them before they even come up. She's incredibly understanding (but she won't let you slack off for no reason).

her class is just as colorful and appealing as her spinky red hair. She even looks russian which adds to the ambiance of the class. She is free spirited and corky but she is also a wonderful and clear teacher.

I love her teaching style. Her first year seminar is awesome and the topics discussed in class are great. She is a great person in general. We have writing assignments assigned for every class and she grades quite fairly. The assignments are not difficult at all; they are responsive mostly.

Scotto is amazing. She's clear and youthful and fun and is incredibly flexible and nice. Although I didn't have her for an actual language class, I've heard that she's a good teacher with the Russian language as well. You've got nothing to worry about with her as a professor.

She was the only professor that showed concern about me, my feelings and what was happening in my life during my horrible 1st year at MHC. She was caring both in and out of the classroom. Her class was dynamic, and built for the students in it.
