If you follow Small's instructions, you'll get a 80. Classes and homework are optional, but it strongly helps to at least show up to class. The French Cafe is a lot of fun, and a good way to make up lost marks. Make sure you keep copies of class handouts since most of that stuff is on the exam or tests. Warm and welcoming!

Fair. Can't do extremely well, but nothing's particularly difficult. Exams were more than fair, as was marking on presentations. Classes were always lots of fun.

Very helpful however she does mark unfairly. If she dosent like you or if she thinks that you are smart she is harder on marking your essay. It really depends on her mood at the time that she is marking. She dosent teach but makes people present instead. Class is lax therefore she has more expectations...

She is a very nice woman, and her classes were fun and interesting... but she's an extremely hard marker. she marks you according to a very specific guideline in her head that is completely different than the type of writing required for similar classes and impossible to achieve

She seems like the nicest woman in the world in person. Class is lax, and she doesn't teach and makes students present instead. BUT despite the easy feel, she randomly marks very unfairly. Marks you on the level she feels you should be at in French personally, not compared to others or at the level you should have in a 300 level course.

she is very nice. and very considerate and helpful. we did seminars for each class. she is very helpful but i couldn't tell u how she teaches b/c the students did presentations for most of the classes. she might have taught 4 or 5 all together.(45 minute presentations were worth 10%= bummer)
