Comment:

One of the worst professors at AMC. Very unclear with her expectations, marks points off even if the answer is correct if you do not do it her way, heavy workload, and her teaching style is horrible. Unfortunately, she is the only Chemistry lecture professor. Use the tutors as much as possible! Only pro: gives extra credit.

Marks points off for absolutely anything! Can be extremely intimidating and sometimes rude. Will not allow any type of group work or online sources for absolutely anything! She will mark points off for using any type of online source or for working with another student. she only allows help from herself or a tutor!

This class made the entire semester dreadful. The school needs a change of professors or to not make this a required course for certain majors. I am still not passing and it was not due to a lack of trying. But it is the end of the semester and this has by far been the worst class I have taken so far, for a lab and lecture.

Dr. Swedis is very clear in the way she teaches. I've took chemistry in high school before and Dr. Swedis has presented everything in a way that is 10000 times easier than how my past chemistry teachers taught. How to pass? Show up to every class, study through the book and follow along the chapters. Obviously people WILL fail if you don't study.

Doctor Swedis, although sometimes caring and occasionally funny, is a difficult professor regardless the day, time or class. She is very set in her ways, and by that: it is YOUR fault and YOU are wrong. In lab she can actually be quite rude telling students to "hurry" or that they "will not be successful."

Shes horrible. Shes so disheartening, I love chemistry and she makes me dread going to lab every week. She grades not fairly at all and if you ask for help forget about it. shes right you're wrong, thats basically all you need you know. No matter what you say, shes right.

This lady was an unfair grader to say the least. She put all work from the students in one file and had us review the work of our peers. Nobody EVER received an A. Everybody "earned" a B regardless of how the work was written (some were poor). She also contradicted herself regularly and then played it off like she knew she had it right along. Rude!

Dr. Swedis really doesn't get the credit she deserves. I really did enjoy her class and learned a lot from her. She's brilliant and is mostly patient with explaining, and she can be very understanding, especially if you meet with her one on one. If she knows you're trying, she takes that into consideration, as tough as she can be.

Horrid, horrid teacher. Not helpful, not polite, very cynical and rude. Worst class I've ever taken, and with the worst teacher I've honestly ever had. What's worse? Other departments and heads know about this and yet continue to do nothing. This teacher is awful. The class would be so much better without her, and so would the school.

She is terrible.She doesn't help at all nit picks little things and will give you terrible grades for it. The problem is she is the only Chemistry teacher there.
