Hands down the worst professor I had at BU. I got one C in all of my time at BU and Walker gave it to me. The year after I took my final COM class with a tough but super supportive professor and got an A. Walker chooses favorites and is completely obvious about it. Most unfair grader I have ever experienced! RUN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Awful teacher and the most unreasonably unfair grader. Will not explain grading and does not go on points, she goes on "averages" she makes up which don't actually mean anything. Avoid if you can but if you're a broadcast major, it's kind of hard to do because the options for JO351 are limited. She picks favorites and is just overall awful

The comments that say she picks favorites are completely accurate. Even though it's an intro class, you had better show up the first day with a thorough knowledge of how to do everything or else you won't do well. She means well but technology is so important to the field and she has no clue what she's doing.

Professor Walker is arguably the biggest reason why so many students graduate the broadcast program at BU and choose to leave the field they received a degree in. She is utterly disengaged from her students. She does not know how to use current technology. She will put in the minimum for her students, nothing more. Avoid at all costs.

Professor Walker is one of the best journalism professors I've had. She takes time to learn each student's career goals and takes a deep interest in their work outside class. Whenever I pop into her office she is more than happy to step away from her work and help me with a dilemma, or just simply just catch up. She gave me amazing constructive fee
